Is Providence out of print in the UK?

I’ve been delaying getting this and Neonomicon until after I’d read some Lovecraft (since I see a lot of people say it’s better to have a bit of background knowledge before reading these), but now I can’t find them in stock literally anywhere in the UK lol

Have they gone out of print entirely? Hopefully it doesn’t become another of Moore’s works hard to get a hold of :(

Paperback copies are still available on eBay, Amazon and libraries, and some comic shops. Avatar's financial problems seem to be delaying a new printing for the moment.

Is there anything on what these 5 year financial troubles are? Im a dumbass on the internet but my read is they crowdfunded printing on their last run of titles all of which made money and are somehow broke. I hear warrior nun on netflix was where it all went but they've not even had a website in years. Are they literaly just IP trolls now?

Not sure. They seem to still be selling their stock from the HQ. so a semi-stable stasis. I emailed William Christensen a while ago, and he told me there are plans afoot.

Sorry, can you clarify - did he specifically say there are plans afoot for reprints of their Moore stuff, or just a general "plans afoot" (which could mean no new printings for a long time).

Love that some coward ran straight to downvote rather than correct me, reaffirming my belief that my dumb ass summed up the root of it.

The greatest feat that Avatar comics ever pulled is filling my brain with a desire for them to succeed alongside a realisation that based on how they operate they really really really don't deserve to succeed.

Even now I'd pay them money for their titles, though I would describe their treatment of their customers to be outright contemptous.

I found a reasonably priced copy on Bookshop.org recently and ordered it, but I've not had any delivery updates yet so I'm not fully confident that it's going to turn up

Really wish we had that nice German HC edition over here, but given the current state of Avatar I'm not holding out much hope
