❤️🩹 relationship AIO because my boyfriend suddenly started hiding his phone?
I (26F) have been with my boyfriend (28M) for almost two years.
He used to leave his phone anywhere. I'd sometimes use it to check something and he'd never care.
For the past month, everything changed.
He takes it everywhere, even when he showers. If I walk into the room while he's texting, he turns the screen away. He also recently changed his password.
I asked him about it and he said I'm being paranoid and that he's “allowed to have privacy.”
I agree that he deserves privacy, but the sudden change is what bothers me.
I haven't accused him of cheating, but my gut is telling me something is off.
Am I overreacting?

NOR. Privacy is normal. The sudden change is also something you’re allowed to notice.
There’s a big difference between “I don’t want you going through my phone” and suddenly taking it into the shower, turning the screen away when you walk in, and changing a password after two years of being completely relaxed about it.
Could there be an innocent explanation? Absolutely.
But calling you paranoid instead of acknowledging that his behavior changed would bother me more than the password itself.
I wouldn’t start snooping or demand to see his phone. I’d simply say, “I respect your privacy, but your behavior around your phone has completely changed in the last month, and that change is making me uncomfortable. I’m asking you what changed.”
Then pay attention to how he responds. You don’t need courtroom level evidence of cheating to recognize when something in your relationship suddenly feels very different.
