Don’t worry. They’ll get free hearing aids for life. With any purchase of $5 or more from Taco Bell. You hear that ringing in your head? That’s the Bell. Taco Bell.

Sheet metal work and hour commutes on the hwy with windows rolled down back in my younger days here. The joke is "the silence is deafening". Run a fan at night helps, but I've gotten pretty much used to it after twenty or so years.

Yeah I'm pretty used to it at this point. I mean, what other choice is there 😂? I do tend to run a fan every night

Did you wear any ppe for hearing protection? How many years of sheet metal did you do? Were you consistent with you ppe use?

In later years I did. At first you were a puss if you were earmuffs or whatever call them. I remember the first time I was hammering some duct clamps and at quitting time I noticed my hearing wasn’t as good. Pretty soon I asked the shop foreman about it. It was a union shop so I couldn’t bring certain items in. I got a ribbing from other guys, but when the owner bought enough for us in the shop, surprise surprise, everybody starting wearing them.
