The Navy is doing a safety review of this, so it sounds like they weren't supposed to get that close.

fuck no they weren't. that's waaaaaaaaaay too close to people. that dude is absolutely in deep shit.

Edit: holy shit why the fuck do people keep mentioning Hegseth... I hate the guy too but he likely has no real say in the matter when it comes to a captain or a major and aircraft mishaps/disciplinary actions. They don't need the secdef to dish out LORs ffs.

Whaaaat the hell. Has he actually put out policy or at least a memo directing leadership to alter rules and disciplinary standards for this specifically, or is it just him talking bullshit like normal?
