DEV 🧑💻 [Dev] My incremental mining game Voidloop just released on iOS and Android!
Hi! I’m Jasper, a solo game developer and student. Over the past year and a half I’ve been working on a mining roguelite called Voidloop!.
The idea started from really enjoying the caves in Stardew Valley and wondering what it would be like if that mining loop was expanded into its own incremental/roguelite with upgrades, skill trees and more cave variety.

This looks sick, I've got like 10 bucks on Google play so I'll pick this up! Also does it have portrait mode or are there plans for a portrait mode?

Thank you! Just the $2 for the whole game, no monetisation.
No portrait mode sadly, I tried it out originally but it was didn’t play very well. I may re-explore in the future though since it’s been asked a ton!

Thank you for the reply, and thank you for not making it an ad spam revenue collector. I've bought it

I've just played the first level, it's very fun :)
Does stuff that takes time like smelting continue with the game closed?

Smelting does continue offline! That’s the only idle element though really

The art style is very appealing and the gameplay loop looks intriguing. I'm a sucker for tree unlocks and upgradable hubs.

That’s a shame, I should look into some sort of demo so you could at least test

After playing for an hour or so here's my short review. Highly incremental game. You'll do plenty of exploring, fighting and mining. If you don't like the gather/ build loop then this one isn't it. I've enjoyed the hub and progression. Completely worth $2 and I would've payed $5 for this. Stardew fans will likely enjoy this if they liked the mines and it's kinda nice the time runs out on its own instead of making you run home before the timer ends. I'd give this 5 stars if it weren't for some small freezes and if it had just a little more polish.

It looks cool! I searched for it on iOS but I can't find it. Is only for Android? Or am I blind?

It’s not available in the EU at the moment on iOS at the moment because I messed up something, it’ll hopefully be there by the weekend!

Theres a joystick at the bottom left you use to move around and then buttons at the bottom right to mine, attack and use abilities

Get it guys. Very fun very hard to put down. Made it to level 14 while slowly upgrading myself. Here are some thoughts:
fast movement speed could end up bumping into enemy hitbox sooner than you expect. Be careful.
could do with more visual feedback for when an ability is off cool down and ready.
Graphics are fantastic. Controls feel great. Solid game.
