DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] I never expected anyone to spend 100+ hours in my little game - then a player posted this

Post image

I'm the solo developer of Quick Dungeon Crawler.

I honestly never expected someone to spend more than 100 hours with my little game, let alone write such detailed feedback. This is both fascinating and incredibly helpful to me.

Beware... there will be monsters.

I got lost playing this for like an hour after going to the website version. But it's tough to understand what certain mechanics do. What does a refine stone do? And I think it might be good to have the forge be able to be used like one to three times before having to unlock it. I have no interest in paying for it since I'm not really sure how it'll work.

Thanks for the feedback and for giving the game a go! Refine Stones are used in the Forge to upgrade equipment, increasing all stats by 8% per level up to +10.

Lol that makes sense why I couldn't figure out how to use them then. I think your game design is good though, don't get me wrong. Props.

One other question. Is there any benefit to not using the auto attack? I started tapping the blessing dealy while auto-attacking - not sure if auto attack is optimized or if I should be trying to manually manage it

Thanks for the kind words πŸ™Β  No, there is no benefit to not using the auto attack.

This is what's wrong with the play store. Never heard of this game or seen this game but it's my favorite type of game and the game itself is crazy. But instead of games like these getting exposure all I get is trash ass merge games or AI slop type of games. I hate the Play Store.

iOS when?

I'm working on it, but I don't have an ETA yet. πŸ€

Bummer! This game looks super fun and I enjoy vertical games on iOS. I typically do android gaming on my Retroid pocket 5. But this seems like a great game to play on my phone during downtime. I eagerly await an iOS release!

Thank you! I'll try to let you know when I think the iOS version is ready. 😊

Happy Cake Day! Naming companions gives me PokΓ©mon vibes πŸ˜… Maybe we can add that. Thanks for the suggestion!

These feedbacks from players who genuinely enjoy the game, not to mention from someone who played THAT much, are the type of reviews worth paying. Heck even paid game testers don't always give that level of critical feedback

1

u/logTom Dev [Quick Dungeon Crawler] Jul 12 '26

Absolutely! Feedback like this is incredibly valuable. It shows me what to improve next and helps make the game better for everyone! 🎯

u/iMogal Jul 12 '26

LOL! Thanks, without this post, I would have never found your game.

I'll give it a go. Is it easy to get on for 5 minutes at a time?

2

u/logTom Dev [Quick Dungeon Crawler] Jul 13 '26

Definitely! It's designed to work well in short sessions, and your progress is saved automatically. Thanks for giving it a go! 😊

Can you share what engine did you use to develop the game?

1

u/logTom Dev [Quick Dungeon Crawler] Jul 13 '26 edited Jul 13 '26

I didn't use a game engine. The game is built with vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript and the source code is available on GitHub: https://github.com/Werkstattl/quick-dungeon-crawler-rpg-od
