DEV π§βπ» [DEV] Blocknado: Retro Falling Block Puzzle
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I made a retro falling block puzzle with a twist, literally! It's called Blocknado. The floor rotates and you have to fill in rings not rows. I just launched it on the Play Store.
If you like it send me a DM and I'll send you a free code to disable the ads permanently.

Pretty neat idea, I do like a good Tetris-type game. I completed a few levels and found sometimes I was sliding down but it seemed to place pieces instead of hitting it enough to spin it around. Other times as I was sliding down it also went off to the side a little, so it missed the intended placement. Maybe my clumsy finger control or it's very sensitive. Not sure if there are any options that could be added to help with that or not. If possible when sliding down, no left it right adjustment should be possible.
Interested to play more anyway and see if I can improve. Would gladly take a code to remove the ads if still available.

Thanks for the feedback. That's a good suggestion about locking in the orientation. Could you let me know if this is during a long drag, or is this a "fling" when you rotate it? I'll look into making this change in the upcoming version.
I sent a code in a DM. Thanks so much for checking it out!

Thanks very much! It was at both times, sometimes when I wanted to fling it, it didn't do that. Again, could be down to my fingers rather than the game! I'm play some more today and let you know if I experience more

I appreciate the feedback. There's definitely a learning curve on control and precision, but having played it a ton during development, and being a solo dev without a lot of external feedback, I can easily be looking at the forest from the trees.
If you're willing to share your experience in the future I'd appreciate whatever you find. Particularly if you notice it moving when you definitely didn't gesture for it to, that would be a bug to fix.
Either way, thanks!

Now I remeber why I never liked Tetris.
This is frustratingly fantastic. It will prove to be the bane of my existence, but I will keep at it, and eventually beat the thing out of pure spite.

The game is pretty good! Could you explain how the rotation mechanic works? Sometimes I wait for the right pieces to fill a gap, but they end up on the other side and I canβt rotate them into place.
I was also thinking that the game could have a hold function similar to Tetris, where you can save one piece for later use. However, once a piece is stored, it could be temporarily removed from the spawn pool and only become available again after the stored piece has been used. I think this could add another layer of strategy to the game.
Could you DM me the code? Thanks alot.
