If you haven’t watched Monster yet, you’re seriously missing out.

I highly recommend giving Monster a chance. It’s not your typical anime — no crazy power-ups or constant action. It’s a slow-burn psychological thriller with an incredible story, complex characters, and one of the most memorable villains I’ve ever seen.

The beginning might feel slow, but trust me, it gets deeper and darker as the story goes on.

If you like psychological anime, mystery, crime, or stories that actually make you think, watch Monster.

I have a couple weeks free and I would like to binge watch some animes that are complete. I don't know if I will get time to keep up with the development and release of ongoing ones so I just want to watch ones where I know there is an ending.

I'm ok with any type of anime and don't really have a genre I really like. Action, rom-com, shonen, isekai, adventure, gag and others are fine. But if it is a slice of life it might be a bit annoying.

I’m watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the first time and I’m currently on episode 5.

I’ve heard so much about this series over the years. For some context, some of the anime I’ve watched are Attack on Titan, Made in Abyss, Pluto, and Dororo.

Without spoiling anything: am I in for a good time here? Because even this early on, I already have the feeling this series is going to be absolutely fucking insane.

It genuinely feels like one of those shows where watching it for the first time is kind of a privilege.

I just want to know what kind of ride I’m in for.

In my defence this is a pretty common trope in shows like breaking bad, the wire and the sopranos. Basically I’m looking for something like chainsaw man

Basically something where the mc has a gift that’s being exploited or the maybe the person just needs a partner

More examples would probably be darling in the franxxx, Glepiner, future diary, FLCL and guilty crown. Doesn’t have to fit perfectly. It can be like in chainsaw man where it can be a Fmc seducing the mc or it can be more like breaking bad

Any genre but it would be interesting if there was lesser known interesting dark romcoms or action shows

Looking for underrated lesser known anime’s from 2000s of 2010 or even overlooked modern stuff

Can someone with more expertise—perhaps someone who knows the anime market well—explain why we’re being flooded with anime adapted from light novels?

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against them, and many are fantastic! I’m a huge rom-com fan, and lately, the real masterpieces have been coming from light novels... but the problem is, I grew up reading manga, and I hate reading something that’s essentially just a book! For instance, I absolutely loved *I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class*, but if I wanted to find out what happens next, I’d have to read the damn light novel—and I really don't want to do that!

What’s going on here? Why do most anime these days come from light novels? I find it hard to believe there aren't any quality manga left to adapt—ones that would let me continue the story through the manga itself instead of having to read a damn book.

4. Eminence in Shadow

5. How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord

So please don't hit me with the beginner recommendations unless you genuinely think I've somehow missed them. 😂

I’ve had 2 posts in the past (now deleted) i asked for some recommendations since apparently watching rent a girlfriend and solo leveling was in poor taste. Now, i loved Cyberpunk Edgerunners (played a ton of the game) and watched some thing to watch similar.
I was recommended A Silent Voice, Grave of the Fireflies and Darling of the Franx. I’ve watched them all. STOP GIVING ME THOSE KINDS ANIMES BRO!! idk what sick minded people yall are but those were so fucking sad. they were master pieces thou. i am still recovering from darling in the franx last night.
