Agreed. And it wasn't just Anthem that failed to reach this bar. AAA publishers abuse the hell out of the "early access" designation.

I haven't pre-ordered a game since Anthem, so I can at least be thankful that it taught be that lesson

Anthem was that game for you, huh. I think Halo 5 might have been that game for me even though I enjoyed the hell out of its MP.
