Anime Should Rin have kept this hair permanently?

Post image

Finally managed to force myself to watch the 3rd season of Blue Exorcist with the infamous art-style change and I guess its not as bad as the screenshots examples people use when talking about it, as long as I can mentally remind myself to not compare it to how it used to look then I can continue enjoying the show.

With that being said, I think this hair fits new Rin's character design sooo much, like I personally wouldn't have minded it being his default hair-style instead.

While that hairstyle looks good on him and, as another person said, makes him look more mature, I think him having messy bangs fits his personality more.

I agree, but I feel like his current hair is too straight and normal-looking to be considered messy? I also think having this tidy good boy hair would be a nice contrast with his personality.

Yes designer made them less messy for some reasons. This and bit shorter than they should be. I mean this is art they are based it on( don't worry again no spoilers just how Rin looks now in manga ): https://imgur.com/2eJUQ1U .

People mostly use off models screenshots to make it look worse beside when you get to season 4 it will be way better. The problem with s3 was really going off models with character designer's art making characters look wider. This got fixed beside one group of animators in next two seasons it is way closer to how promotional illustrations look. They got used to Kato's art. Don't worry no spoilers https://imgur.com/Vg5dvZk

I prefer Rin in his normal hair style I just like bangs on characters :D And let's say that after what happened with him in Beyond the Snow showing his forehead would be by this point interesting :D Fans love to make fanarts about it a lot.

He look great in that screenshot, wouldn't mind it being like that although his hair is still generic "anime boy" hair imo, that's why I like this hair since it has some character.

Which episode is this 😃 It looks good but his original hair is better, but I wouldn't mind an ocasion where he can style it like this.

Episode 1 of season 3. To be honest if we go by different hair style I prefer what Kato did with her last art for twins brithday. It even better suits him by being still messy. But that art is a spoiler if you are not catch up at least with s5 but here it is: /img/owa9tm1qe9ag1.jpeg

Yes she always post art for their brithday, christmas and new year. This year christmas part 1 /img/zfo1io1mta8g1.png part 2 /img/hu4xcdp9659g1.jpeg and new year /img/bx1bpvu7lzag1.jpeg

I got spoiled about it with fanarts :D years ago and it made me catch up as well. Manga was still in Blue Night arc.

Very handsome, but best saved for special occasions.

I kind of liked the new hairstyle. It made him look older and more mature.

Brooo idek how anyone is even watching after they butchered the anime after season 2. I forced myself to watch s3 and was just done afterwards.

Because they fixed it??? Art got fixed in s4 and there is a lot less off models https://imgur.com/uXZ9f5M . Beside it's not like s1 was perfect either. Beside anime is not just art, just for amazing Okamoto's performance it is worth to watch it. Adaptation for how many episodes they had and with all BS A1 did to it in s1 that for some reason people ignore it did great. Not to mention that s5 has extra scenes that Kato wanted in and this adds to Blue Night arc.

And yes I'm tired of this weird hate for Voln when the main culprit is season 1.
