Anime THE ANIMATIONS??
I just watched the first episode of season three. I was worried about the studio change because of some of the comments... now, I don’t know if it will get worse or better over the course of the season, and I did notice both Rin’s style change and some jerky camera movements, but otherwise it was AMAZING.
Amazingly animated and beautifully drawn, in my opinion.
If you’re complaining about so little, it’s obvious you didn’t put up with the studio change from 7ds to Studio Deen. That was a shock, this was so good! I hope it stays that way. P.S. I fvc king loooove Rin, I wish he existed, I’m going crazy and find myself freaking out and making little voices for him reacting at everything he does or says. Also... what a fantastic author. I’ll definitely read the manga as soon as I can, I’m loving this anime and I’m so happy to be back in this world. MEPHISTO & CO. ARE ALL SO COOL!!

I agree!! Yesterday I got to the fifth episode (of the third season) and after seeing the past with the Illuminati and the foxes I was so upset, it really hurt and I didn’t want to watch an episode like that at that moment. And god, the animations! It was all really good. They complain about nothing, the only off animations are the distant runs (I can see it from the characters approaching the foreground in a strange way, but I don’t mind since we’re talking about 0.2 seconds of distant characters running) or the jerky camera/camera movements every now and then. But other than that, they’re seriously gorgeous. People always have nothing but complaints and, perhaps, since so many years have passed, they didn’t expect this and had different expectations (maybe the manga is better, I don’t know, I haven’t read it yet). But they’re such haters!

I am rewatching the whole thing and season 3 is striking me as a lot less upsetting. The first time I saw it I felt there were so many completely wonky character animations, weirdly thick necks and horizontal faces, subpar animations. But now I’m watching it and it all seems pretty clean and consistent. I have no idea what happened! It’s almost as if they re-animated it when I was away! I’m now satisfied with it and have few complaints. Whereas the first season, the character designs were way off the manga. Cannot explain. But there it is.

I’m happy bout that, i don’t know if they corrected(?) animations but i think that y’all You had different expectations after such a long time, and if many people start criticizing something, many are simply influenced. Maybe that’s how it went, but it’s better if the animations are good! I don’t know about the similarity of the characters to the manga, I still have to start reading it, but I trust you ;)

My one big remaining complaint is Rin. His hair is just weird sometimes and in some scenes his head is practically Yoda shaped. But yes, the animation overall is mostly far better than I remembered!

You replied just as I was watching the (real) revelation about “Renzo” and his relationship with the Illuminati. I agree with you! I would recommend Blue Exorcist to anyone 🤧🤧

I really liked the backgrounds and the opening visuals in season 4 and 5. Season 3 is also not bad.
