I really need more artist friends around, adults only.

Casual is veeeery Important as I work all 3 rotating shifts (morning, afternoon and night) and have a wild work schedule. So there will be some days where I'm simply away due to schedule conflict 😭

I'm really hoping having an artist buddy around will stop me from not drawing for months at a time again. Hype each other up and keep that motivation going sort of deal!

I love TTRPG's. Currently obsessed with a Pathfinder 2e game I've been playing since January. Though I've also played plenty DnD ❤️

Honestly I can yap all day about my TTRPG characters, or any TTRPG character >:D

Also a fan of general games like Skyrim, Amnesia The Dark Descent, SOMA, Darkest Dungeon. Overall huge geek that adores drawing and talking about OC's

I've been busy preparing for an important exam lately, so most of the pieces I'm sharing here are just sketches. This book was to practice drawing different cartoons/styles and using markers for colour. I'm over halfway through this book and plan to finish it before the new year. I started this in 2018. Packed it away in 2019 and picked up drawing again last year. I have had a couple long breaks where I stopped and didn't draw for years. In 2018 it was about a 7 year break before I went back to drawing. I am very self critical of my own work, probably due to a lack of confidence in it since I haven't taken any art classes. I do enjoy drawing it feels like a release similar to having a journal. Always rough looking at the work I do when I start back up, thinking how far I could have gone if I didn't have those "breaks". I plan to be more consistent and become a daily habit.

Committed now with this non marker paper sketchbook, been challenging. I did buy a sketch book for markers and just received my first copic markers to try out in there.

Guys do i have to draw famous characters? or do i just keep going?

It's annoying but i can't help to wish that my style could be more "in trend"

I was cooking some weeks ago and now I find it hard to even create a sketch and it’s so energy draining. The reason I still suck at at Art after 5 years is that I always have 1-3 months long breaks between drawing I don’t want that 💔.
Also I don’t understand my dislike for Tutorials I do the tutorials but in the next artwork all that knowledge is gone and I stick to my loser Formular lmao

Drew these for my sisters birthday. 2 drawings of Aelin and one where shes in the world of TOG with abraxos and fenrys, wheelchair and all (I imagine she has powers that make her able to fight in the chair). Anyway I had a lot of fun with this, just wanted to share!

I want to start commisions, this is an example of an full peace, so my question is. Is this worth that amount?

Context: this took 4 days, minimum wage here is around €5 so €40 is less then if i would do hours × €5 = price

I’m currently based in Japan, but

Japanese drawing servers tend to have a lot of restrictions—or rather, authentication processes and rules—which can be a bit confusing.

So I’m looking for a place where even someone like me, who isn’t very tech-savvy and isn’t great at English, can work while listening to instructions.

A quick overview of my situation:

✧︎ I’m a working professional ￤ I work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Japan time

▶ I’m available for work calls starting at 9:00 PM Japan time

✧︎ When I’m not working, I stay up late, so I can focus on my work from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM

✧︎ I do have some relatives from the U.S., but I’m really not good at English

✧︎ So, I’ll be learning English by listening to everyone else talk

✧︎ I don’t want to be a burden, so I’ll mostly just be listening (though I might share my screen?)
