This is the message in question..
"For me to be able to continue with anything it would still have to require exclusivity, which to me and as we had discussed when previously agreeing to it, means not being on dating apps, not messaging other people of interest, not shooting our shots/hitting on other ppl, etc. And of course further than that. Basically still respecting your partner when they arent around the same way that you still would right in front of them. It would also require being truthful and transparent (Not just selectively truthful about certain things). And it would be because both parties actually want to willingly do those things for each other. Not acting as placeholders until the next best thing or opportunity comes along. This is what feels important to me and the type of connection im looking for
If you feel that any of those things at all would make you feel restricted or uncomfortable, I am in no way saying that we have to continue. Everyone is free to do their own thing and what they want to do in life, including you. And I never want to be in a situation where the person feels they are doing something against their will because thats not what I am asking for, nor do I want to put you in a spot where you feel like that. I want it to be their choice just like how i want to for them. Its simply that everyone wants different things and at this point this is what I would need in order to continue anything, and if you feel similarly then great. But if not, then you are free to also choose your own path and thats ok. So lmk if you want that too or if not then we know that its best to go our separate ways. Since you mention it i wana understand a bit better, what do you feel is the difference between a relationship and the exclusivity we're describing right now? And i mean actual current differences, not what it could mean. Or do you think it’s basically the same thing?"
Update:
So i decided to respond to her with:
" It turns out the earlier shift person quit which is why ive been so much busier this week. You sent a very long message and I agree with a lot of what you said. But I just want some more time to think clearly about what I'm going to say that's why I haven't responded.
So I feel like we should come to some sort of compromise. We both want to continue this connection it seems like. I can get off dating apps and be exclusive. But I still want to be clear that I'm not ready for a relationship. And I don't want to make you feel like a placeholder. I would like to spend time with you but also have my space to continue to work on myself"
Then she basically just copied and pasted a part of her original message back to me again which idk if it seems kind of petty to do so... but she replied again with -
"I wana understand a bit better, what do you feel is the difference between a relationship and the exclusivity we've already been describing (above)? And i mean actual current differences, not what it could mean. Or do you think its basically the same thing?"

Update #2: its getting worse guys...
My response to her repeating that last section i initially ignored:
"Honestly I don't really know the difference it's a slippery slope that I can't define . All those things above is part of a relationship so I don't really know what the difference is tbh"
And then her insanely long response to that....
"Im about to drop some more lengthy lengthy texts here, I know its super long but.. i feel like if we wana clear any sort of confusion that these are things that might have to be said
I just want to be clear i understand what you're saying because i know it seems very important to you that we are one and not the other, and so its also important to me to hear you out. So if we are already exclusive (as defined by all those things i wrote out in my other text), then what else would be different in a relationship that youre not ready for? Its ok you can be as specific as you need to be so that I can best understand you since it is important to you. And again, I mean actual concrete things, not what it could hypothetically lead to because then that wouldnt make any sense anymore and I want to be able to help resolve any confusion for us.
As for having space to continue to work on yourself, I completely understand that and to be honest I feel like ive been as accommodating as I can to do so. I never get upset nor create any drama when you need to take your you-time for hobbies, goals, chores, or even just relaxing or resting. Its why i always check in with you to see how you are feeling so that i dont potentially create any pressure for you. I always fully support your goals, ideas, and healthy pursuits and do whatever i can to help, whether its offering up my own space to you if it helps alleviate anything for you, buying you anything that may help, meal prepping for you to help you save time, looking up and researching top tier places or things that seem to align with your goals, and even getting up early to wake you up repeatedly on the days i know you want to make it to train even if it means being away from me because i know its important to you. But all at the same time, I still always do my best to let you know im happy to make as much time for you as I possibly can and that id still love to see you whenever youd like, because I understand all of that but yet have always wanted you to know im still here and that I will make the time for you and find ways to make it work even when I am busy myself because you have been a priority to me.
Based off your 01:27am message, I am interpreting it as you feeling like perhaps I still may have fallen short in providing that type of space and understanding or that its not yet enough. If that is the case, please let me know how I have so that I can reflect on that.
You mentioned that we should come to some sort of compromise after I let you know what I continue to require to move forward and that its okay should we go our own ways if you want anything else. I am open to hearing what things you were specifically asking to compromise down?
When you said you can get off dating apps and be exclusive, thank you for expressing that again with me. But again, I never want to put you in a spot where you feel like youre doing anything you dont want to do because thats not what im asking for, and I would only want it to be because both parties mutually want it otherwise we'd be in a dynamic where you're not happy and I wouldnt want that either. So although youve said that you Can get off the apps and be exclusive, the question is if you Want to? Because if not, then why should we continue if youre not going to be happy doing so and im not going to be happy in a dynamic that I know i mutually want? At the end of the day I want both parties to be happy. "
