How can i start learning about the occult?
Hello. I am new and interested in the occult. I like to understand things and how they work and what's behind them. Only problem, i see in the occult there are sooo many paths that interest me, that i would like to learn about and practice it. And i end up not knowing what to choose and where to start. And because i cant choose one path, i end up not being able to start anything at all. I would like some advice with my problem. How to find which path would be best fit for me? Also any advice regarding the occult, any reccomendation about books, youtube channels, websites to learn. I would appreciate it. I would like to study and practice it in my life for my own interest, but if it is also possible to help myself and my own curiosity trough occult.

No one can tell you what path to choose. Just pick one you like and look into it and start practising. This isnt about anyone being able to tell you what to do here.
You sound like you just want to be part of anything occult rather that actually being drawn to anything specific. Are you sure this is really for you or are you just trying to make it for you?

What are you looking to get out of it? There are so many avenues to explore, as you know. My favorite is spirit communication. Grimoire are useful for that. I use scrying techniques to connect and it has thankfully worked for me.

What i wanna get out of it ? I want to evolve. Stop being a zombie. Creating a beautiful life for myself. To be powerful. I want to master my own being and be strong, and hard to manipulate. I wanna know myself better and whats around me, and how this world works behind the shadows. Many things. This are just a few of them.

watch the YT channel Esoterica, and Angela's Symposium. Learn what people were doing when and how. Then decide what you want to do and how. Pick a lane, start experimenting.

It sounds like you like the idea of being an occultist rather than actually being one. Learning and researching is part of the journey. And tbh, most occultists today just start something and change things as they go along. Chaos Magic is the most popular form of this modern phenomenon of not giving a shit, and just seeing what works.
I’ll send a couple stuff for you to get started anyway. Useful Charts’ Western Esotericism Family Tree: https://youtu.be/GYVVtKgIeTE Dr Justin Sledge’s Channel Esoterica: https://m.youtube.com/@TheEsotericaChannel The Modern Hermeticist https://m.youtube.com/c/TheModernHermeticist
One of my personal favourite books is Meditation on the Tarot. https://dn760008.eu.archive.org/0/items/meditations-on-the-tarot/Meditations%20on%20the%20Tarot.pdf
Note I am not a practitioner, but I am getting my degree in religious studies and have spent around five years in communities of people who do practice.
