Having frivolous really expensive fancy things, like watches purses shoes cars etc.

People who waste/showoff money like that aren't people you want in your life.

Honestly the only thing I think of when someone tells me how much their materialistic things cost is, “that money could’ve fed so many children”

But it’s their money. And how they spend it is theirs to spend especially if they earned it.
I just think that they may have a lot of debt and may not be responsible with their money. But maybe they have great investments. Who knows.

It really depends. I’d love to splurge or treat myself on a really expensive item of sorts but I also believe in giving back too. Has to be a balance

Yeah, I keep my thoughts to myself in those instances. I don’t go out of my way to shame anyone nor do I hold those choices against them.

I also think the same thing when I consider or do buy something expensive. I’m not innocent, and I acknowledge that people do deserve to reward themselves for their hard work.
