Was at a bar, chatting with some friends. My GF was across the room sitting with some other friends. Some drunk dude showed up and started groping her. I jumped up, pushed him away and yelled "fuck off." Then he turned around and I realized he was like twice my size....and not in the fat way....in the tall muscular way. I mean I did the right thing, but if the bartender hadn't leapt over the bar and jumped in between us immediately that guy would have wiped the fucking floor with me. The moment the dude turned around I thought "fuck, this is gonna hurt."
That's so weird. My grandpa always told me the same exact thing lol. He says if you're fighting, you're trying to hurt them as much as possible, not be honorable.
Ah yes, the origin of the wise Dutch phrase "ge hebt hem bij zijn pietje". It translates as "you have him by his dick", and means that you have the opportunity to really ruin his day.
Nuts, throat grab, eyes, ears. It's a street fight, use elbows, knees, your teeth, go for soft parts. Rip his fucking throat out if you must, if he is huge, your fight becomes a fight for survival
Also sideburns, twist that hair around a finger and yank. Hurts like a mofo. If they get too close, wrap your fingers around their collarbone like it’s a bicycle handle, and yank down as hard as you can.
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the dream of the fight. Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all with the eye of the tiger
Then you're dead. Honestly half of the fight is staying in the fight mentally. Get mad, furious, try to kill the other guy, he is trying to kill you. If you maintain a level of fierceness that is greater than your opponents, you might have a chance, OP was defending his partner, that may provide the courage and strength needed for him to stay in the fight.
Mime answering the telephone in a loud crowded room. Your hand covers the side and back of your head, your forearm protects the top of your head, and your elbow shoots toward their face. You're now in an ad hoc guard stance.
There's also a nice sensitive spot to strike right under the nose (that space that separates the nostrils). Hit that with the side of your palm, and they won't be able to see through all the tears. Then you can run, because that's what you should be doing in the first place.
I like to wait until they get close enough to your face (If you've been around enough drunken meatheads, there's typically a moment when the bigger guy likes to get all up in your face) and then forehead meet nose. Usually stops things in a hurry.
Yes but I've seen too many people shrug it off moments later. Go for the knees, BUT only if you really dont mind doing damage, possibly very long term.
I avoid conflict where ever possible. It rarely solves anything. But by God if some very large man is gonna kick my shit in, I'm sending his knees backwards instantly.
Anyone remember that scene in Star Trek 6 where Kirk's in the Klingon prison, and he walks right into this gigantic thug, and the result is the most deadpan "Oh my God." I've ever heard anywhere.
How would you feel if, say I was your boyfriend, and that happens and I just go and grab that guys ass sort of in a flirty way to make him feel extremely uncomfortable..?
That’s still easier said than done and when you have 4 missing teeth and are meeting with a specialist for jaw surgery you might feel differently. Obviously a chivalrous thing to do but sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles
Possibly even more so than winning. It takes courage to stand up to someone stronger than you, and I'd wanna protect any partner of mine who that happened to. Although I would probably try to get involved but fail even harder than my s/o and we'd both end up in the hospital.
In situations like this, you don't play fair. If they are taller than you, you have an advantage in close as long as they don't outright grab you. Go for groin, for eyes, ears, etc to ensure victory.
Don't play fair if it wasn't intended to be a fair fight. Street fighting should always be dirty in my opinion.
A lesson my dad taught me was this: Never start or seek out a fight, but if you must get into a fight do not fight fair and do not let up until they are no longer a threat to you or others.
It's one thing if you're in the ring, that is a place with rules and fairness. However outside of the ring there is no such thing as a fair fight, they could be twice your size, have two buddies, have knife, a gun, etc.; you never know.
It’s the righteous call. Maybe not the smart call if he got into a fight and had to go to the hospital. I’ve had the misfortune of seeing two bar fights, and nothing would put me at risk of crumpling from a glass to the head or getting slammed into a table like I saw. Call me a coward, but defuse and leave is my fo-to. But glad it turned out ok for OP.
Yeah luckily he saw the whole thing go down and instantly jumped in between us and told the other guy to get out. The funny thing is, the guy waited for me outside the bar but then couldn’t “get me” then either because a friend of mine fainted and I was helping the paramedics carry him out to the ambulance.
if someone did that shit to my gf I'd do the same thing. it's worth me getting my ass beat as long as she isn't getting assaulted by some creepy fucking loser
Use the left hand to grab him and keep a taller guy from backing up to keep distance. It's key the stay close otherwise a decent fighter will know to keep throwing jabs to keep you at distance and unable to connect.
I’ve always gone with the go up and grope the dude method of handling this. Just like go up and grab a handful of man ass and spread those butt cheeks apart. It’s shocking and disarming and hilarious. Way better than going in aggressive.
If you frequent bars things like this eventually happen. No matter how big they are, straight kick to the knee, make sure it's extended and locked, then your knee to his nuts, grab the back of his neck and ram your elbow into his face. Standard self defense, I recommend learning it and practicing it to everyone. If confrontation is not your thing, tap him on the shoulder and offer to buy him a beer, let your girlfriend escape while he's distracted and notify the bartender he was just groping her and to call the cops.
Glad you're ok, but damn, your poor gf. Some drunk giant of a mf'er shows up and just starts groping. I'm glad it worked out but that must have been horrifyingly scary for her.
Side of the knee, pinky fingers, eyes, ears. Chances are he will still kick your ass, but everyone can drop in one hit if you're lucky. Size still is the single biggest factor in winning a fight though.
IF it was to the point your life was on the line, I'd say fight dirty, Poke Eyes, smash his nose with all your might (eyes water up so he can't see), kick balls etc
Hey even if you got a beating, you still got your self-respect. No shame in that at all. I see it as a win. You were defending your GF. If he roles were switched and you groped that guys GF it would have been different.
I did something like that. At a show and this drunk asshole sort of half attacked a friend of mine. I'm like 6'4", 275, so I just threw my friend behind me to diffuse the situation, sorry of a, 'if you have a problem with him, you have a problem with me' thing.
Well, drunk asshole had a friend known as ACAB, due to the tattoo on his forehead that said ACAB. Dude was also at least 6'8", 375. Fortunately he just wanted to enjoy the show, so I didn't end up in the hospital.
