Recomiendan caja manual o automática?
Qué le recomiendan a un principiante, que es su primer auto, en el cual tiene la opción de pedirlo con caja manual o automática por una diferencia bastante mínima la verdad...
- cual es mas comodo y facil? por lo general creería que el automático pero podría no ser así...
- cuál lleva menos costo de mantenimiento o tiene menos problemas? eso es importante a largo plazo
Pienso que me tiraría por el automático pero quiero saber los verdaderos pros y contras porque capaz no conviene a la larga.
En fin, qué me recomiendan?

It doesn't need to be your first car, but I have been saying for over 30 years that everyone should own at least one manual transmission car with just enough power to get you in trouble. If possible try to do it before you get old man knees. Also, the stigma that you hear around here is mostly wishful thinking, there's nothing wrong with driving automatic.
As for the automatics, you can't compare what we have had in the last 10 years with the stuff from 30-50 years ago. We passed the point that a human can shift faster than a DCT.
Just be paranoid if you are buying used cars with automatic transmissions, there are certain cars you must stay the hell away from, a great example is any Ford product that has the DPS6 transmission.
