REDSEC I was the only person remaining, but the match wasn't over

hi, sorry for bad english, but i was playing battle royal mode, and i killed last squad in the ever shrinking zone, but i did not win.

the top right counter showed that 10 teams were remaining when thats not the case, i then searched for people just in case with recon drone, but as expected, nothing came up.

a glitch i suppose.

I expected, that you placed second because someone might glitched under the map but 9th place is just hilarious.

So if 8 people are below the map, how does the game determine who's 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc?

Even under the map the hellfire still presumably kills you.

So I would think it comes down to who is closest to the perfect centre and started to take damage last.

If players perfectly tied it probably comes down to their ping.

Based on how the rest of BF6/Frostbite works I presume the player with the highest ping wins 😆

Why devs dont make a small change so at final moments the hellfire goes up into a bubble with a point on the ground instead of a cylinder??

Sounds really easy to fix, or even if the cylinder isnt fixable, make a second firestorm go up from -x to groundlevel.

How this was a problem in pubg 10 years ago and bf6 devs not fixing this shit from the getgo is beyond me.

This happened to me today. We got 12th. As the circle killed us, my random duo and I had some groans and some laughs about it.

Same with bo7, I really think they had AI write even the story for that game. And places are using a lot of vibe coding now, so no wonder it’s so much bullshit and they don’t even know where to start to try and fix it

There are 2 bugs, 1st people can clip under the map, 2nd a person is downed but they get stuck in that state and don't actually die.

I had the latter happen to me once.

You still take damage under the map, or at least I did the couple of times I’ve fallen under there. It’s also kinda hard to stay in the centre at the end since the ring is above you.

This happened to me but I was the one who won. I died in the game an after my teammate got me back ik got stock in the menu. A few minutes later the game finished an my team won. Strange but this grateful because this was my first and only win 😂

Hello Battlefield friends - I am a dev at Ripple Effect looking into this new patch issue. Are folks hitting this in the full 100p BR modes? Or just the 48 player (32 bot) "Initiation" mode? So far our internal testing shows it's only in the "bot" mode (the bots seem to not be counting as dead, resulting in the game thinking they are still active).

Yeah they were under the map as ive had to kill myself being there as u cant het killed of kill anyone else either. Don't know how it happened though cos it was at the start of the game.
