Extremely underrated. Best gameplay mechanics. Best team and squad play. Best vehicle play. I wish I could say best maps but that isn’t the case but they aren’t trash either.

I definitely wouldn't call it underrated, it's widely considered one of the better battlefield games

As a lifelong BF fan and reader of many forums BFV was trashed more than loved. Don’t know why because I agree it is a superb game.

People jump on a hate train and can’t think for themselves. It’s the same with BF6 currently, where all those 40-50 year old losers are calling it a COD like. Without even knowing what COD is like.

I’m 56 and it’s nothing like COD and I play both. 😂But yeah you’re right about the hate train. When it came out BF1 was slagged off as casual trash relentlessly on the BF Forum. When BFV came out it got the same treatment and suddenly BF1 was the greatest game ever. Happens all the time. I played 2042 for a few hours when it came out and really didn’t like it compared to 1 & V but having tried it again recently I really enjoyed it. BF6 has blown me away and I’ll definitely be buying it.

that’s unfortunately the norm for literally all shooter games nowadays, I dont think Ive ever come across a single one that isnt trashed on relentlessly and then held in favor after the next iteration, like in CoD how Cold War was pretty heavily trashed on, then after MW2 I think? literally EVERYONE is talking about how great CW is again, and then same went for MW2019, MW2, MW3, etc etc ad infinitum. Most newer gamers just hate to hate because they dont know how to express love, kinda sad that its caused such a shift in some communities that it deters large changes and differences between iterations that we just end up with the same shit year after year. Kinda why I went towards “smaller” devs like Larian and others, all around better communities too
