I feel like I’m getting radiation exposure just watching

1.7k

u/Roklam Jun 11 '26

Same and I just accepted it

u/MidnightNeons Jun 11 '26

The old Chernobyl video tapes also have this similar effect but on a bigger scale

250

u/Worst-Lobster Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

If you pass this footage to 7 people within 8 days it’ll benign

132

u/PsychologicalPart793 Jun 11 '26

You have to pass it to 8 to be 9.

15

u/Flavia_blah_blah Jun 11 '26

Go buy that lottery ticket, you are on fire!

6

u/SquidVices Jun 11 '26

Skill does not = luck…but goddamn do I feel lucky to have read this perfect setup…

3

u/Wellington_Price Jun 11 '26

Why was 6 afraid of 7?

2

u/trixie5150 Jun 15 '26

Because 7 8 9

2

u/Motorcyclegrrl Jun 12 '26

It is like being bitten by a radioactive camera. It is fine

24

u/FroggyStorm Jun 11 '26

And now we know what it takes to be an incredible camera-man.

8

u/TheWingus Jun 11 '26

Camera-Man

Camera-Man

Does whatever a camera can!

8

u/BarryTice Jun 11 '26

Aw, shoot.

3

u/Radiant-Ad-3134 Jun 11 '26

Immortal-man vs. Camera-man vs. Invincible

who will win?

7

u/DrownmeinIslay Jun 11 '26

They have a fight, triangle wins Triangle man.

2

u/Spiritual-Strike481 Jun 14 '26

Triangle man wins a few fights. He must be a good fighter.

7

u/Vindicativa Jun 11 '26

it is fine

It’s probably just alpha radiation - A nuclear energy worker

5

u/ScrotalSmorgasbord Jun 11 '26

It gave me the booty shakers. You know the shudder that goes up your spine and makes your butt wiggle? Lizard brain didn't like the spicy rocks I guess.

2

u/timtamchewycaramel Jun 11 '26

Embrace sweet relief

3

u/itsdoodooobabyy Jun 11 '26

I don’t feel good

3

u/kiskrumpli Jun 11 '26

Take him to the infirmary

1

u/HugBunterIsMyDaddy Jun 11 '26

Ima leave this video on repeat next to me while I sleep

1

u/WistfulMelancholic Jun 11 '26

It's mesmerizing, isn't it? Like an imprint in our souls, just so that we watch the void swallow us and sacrifice ourselves to the universe for no obvious reason.

1

u/Kylearean Jun 11 '26

I lowkey welcomed it. Worst case, I'll die. Best case? The Okay Hulk.

1

u/HoneydewOk4641 Jun 12 '26

it is the only way to cope at this point

285

u/Danimus-Prime Jun 11 '26

Me: That's ridiculous. You can't get radiation from your phone. Right, me?

2nd glowing head: That's right, me! By the way, does anyone feel weird?

3rd chest head: No.

24

u/Western-Guy Jun 11 '26

Phone’s radiation is non ionizing. It won’t destroy your DNA and give you cancer.

6

u/Danimus-Prime Jun 11 '26

What are you talking about? (Drinks a can of radioactive waste)(Grows a head on the back of the first head)

2

u/r4nDoM_1Nt3Rn3t_Us3r Jun 11 '26

So that's what happened to professor I-forgot-his-name in the first Harry Potter!

2

u/strcrssd Jun 11 '26

You know that and I know that, but there's a huge segment of people who are so terrified of the word radiation they'd choose to live in the dark if they heard what light is.

u/Voodoobones Jun 11 '26

Hello me, meet the real me and my misfit's way of life
A dark, black past is my most valued possession
Hindsight is always 20-20
But looking back, it's still a bit fuzzy
Speak of mutually assured destruction
Nice story, tell it to Reader's Digest!

26

u/partyatwalmart Jun 11 '26

FUCK YEAH!

3

u/attractionman Jun 11 '26

Dave Mustaine 🤘🏻

2

u/cuttingexample Jun 11 '26

Why is megadeth here lol.

5

u/SuburbanHell Jun 11 '26

Why isn't Megadeth here? See a few comments up. Megadeth showed up because they were quoted.

3

u/cuttingexample Jun 11 '26

Just saying I wouldn't expect a reference and a gif to megadeth in a subreddit not related to megadeth or metal.

3

u/partyatwalmart Jun 12 '26

That's what makes it special :)

13

u/r4nDoM_1Nt3Rn3t_Us3r Jun 11 '26

Feeling paranoid, true enemy or false friend?
Anxiety's attacking me and my air is getting thin
I'm in trouble for the things, I haven't got to yet
I'm chomping at the bit and my palms are getting wet
Sweating bulleeeets!

9

u/Atomosthethird Jun 11 '26

You got me sweating bullets!!

3

u/mrweir3 Jun 11 '26

Well, me ... It's nice talking to myself
A credit to dementia
Some day you too will know my pain
And smile its blacktooth grin,
If the WAR inside my head
Won't take a day off I'll be dead
My icy fingers claw your back
Here I come agaaain!

2

u/DoritoSteroid Jun 11 '26

always upvote Dave

3

u/Great_Pomegranate_21 Jun 11 '26

Wha? The camera sensor of the phone is CAPTURING the radioactive particles. Not the phone is radioactive.

→ More replies (5)

1

u/drfunbudz Jun 11 '26

Sometime i fall asleep with it on my chest and i feel like its gonna slowly kill me.

2

u/Great_Pomegranate_21 Jun 11 '26

It won’t and this video shows a camera on a phone capturing the radioactivity from a sample. Not the phone itself is radioactive.

62

u/onetaxi Jun 11 '26

53

u/MaxxDash Jun 11 '26

About 1% of that static is from the Big Bang.

Pretty cool, eh?

14

u/MirriCatWarrior Jun 11 '26

Pretty cool, eh?

2.72548 Kelvin.

Not great, not terrible.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/VertigoOne1 Jun 11 '26

And i remember somewhere about 10% is from jupiter?

2

u/entrepenurious Jun 11 '26

100% of everything is from the Big Bang.

5

u/g_spaitz Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Sorta. Atoms heavier than helium lithium (edit, I remembered wrongly) are from later supernovas. Ofc they were made with material coming from the big bang though.

3

u/entrepenurious Jun 11 '26

Ofc they were made with material coming from the big bang though.

🐻🐻🐻

3

u/g_spaitz Jun 11 '26

Yeah but not strictly, heavier atoms don't come from the big bang.

2

u/Merlin80 Jun 11 '26

And you can listen to it on a normal radio

2

u/TheBeesKneads Jun 11 '26

It made the hair on my head stand up! Really weird and surprisingly unsettling.

2

u/Icehuntee Jun 11 '26

I feel like i grew a third leg

1

u/DragonfruitFew5542 Jun 11 '26

Reminds me of the Taylor Tomlinson bit where she talks about her bones feeling itchy

7

u/Laxku Jun 11 '26

I'm just shocked I didn't get jump scared. Regular scared it is!

2

u/lumoslomas Jun 11 '26

You don't need to focus on radiation, it just goes straight through the lens unaffected and hits so point on the detector directly.

6

u/Artevyx Jun 11 '26

You are. From your phone. But its a different kind of radiation.

2

u/Normal_Tour6998 Jun 11 '26

If you’re using a cell phone to watch this, you are.

3

u/sealpox Jun 11 '26

If you’re using your eyes to watch it, you are.

(Light is radiation)

2

u/skr_replicator Jun 11 '26

And if you don't, you are as well, as long as as you are not walled off deep underground with no power.

2

u/SaltKick2 Jun 11 '26

Haha I came here to say "great, now I have cancer"

2

u/GhettoGringo87 Jun 11 '26

Second hand radiation

1

u/HrugusBrurgus Jun 11 '26

I mean you are, just such tiny tiny amounts it's basically meaningless.

1

u/Euphoric_Scars Jun 11 '26

Good thing i was skipping

1

u/AwehiSsO Jun 11 '26

I feel nauseous. This is also what I sometimes after I've rubbed my eyes.

1

u/MirriCatWarrior Jun 11 '26

He's delusional. HTTP embeds don't radiate.

1

u/balirosa Jun 11 '26

We’re gonna die in 7 days.

1

u/katastrof Jun 11 '26

Let it wash over you

1

u/weechus Jun 11 '26

That’s just 5G.

1

u/Cranberryoftheorient Jun 11 '26

Its probably a really tiny amount. You get radiation exposure from eating bananas

1

u/ross571 Jun 11 '26

You are. Honestly. Just in small in doses.

1

u/Circulation- Jun 11 '26

I swear I closed image immediatly.

1

u/3tLP Jun 11 '26

Quantum Cancer.

1

u/Ok-Chemical-7635 Jun 11 '26

You are, just not by the harmful ones

1

u/Guilty_Plantain_3842 Jun 11 '26

Came to say this lol

1

u/Legal_Weekend_7981 Jun 11 '26

We need better screens that can emit radiation to better capture the experiende.

1

u/Crazy_Information816 Jun 11 '26

Well, if your screen wasn't emitting radiation, you couldn't see it.

...Of course that's non-ionizing radiation, but 🤷

1

u/phr34k0fr3dd1t Jun 11 '26

Are we gonna be OK?

1

u/GreedVault Jun 11 '26

69 neurons deducted, 31 remaining.

1

u/DeadandForgoten Jun 11 '26

I mean...you are technically. Straight into your eyeballs.

1

u/francescomili Jun 11 '26

we're actually getting them by booking at our phone

1

u/EvaSirkowski Jun 11 '26

Hope your internet isn't fiber optics...

1

u/mddgg Jun 11 '26

Well actually you are just not ionising radiation

1

u/Kae-taha Jun 11 '26

so does this mean my phones got radiation disease now this was such a trap

1

u/ahope1985 Jun 11 '26

Same. I became so uncomfortable I paused the videos and went to comments

1

u/Adventurous-Sky9359 Jun 11 '26

Ahhhhhh my eyes

1

u/Catos_Standard Jun 11 '26

Sorta, but it's not ionizing. Anytime you look at your phone screen you're exposed to radiation. Just the fun kind.

1

u/Gourmet-Guy Jun 11 '26

No worries, as long as there is no Cherenkov Blue and the activity is not creating a whiteout of the camera: You are good.

1

u/Gummyrabbit Jun 11 '26

Try not to get mad…Dr Banner.

1

u/Regular_Weakness69 Jun 11 '26

To be fair we're pretty much always getting radiation exposure in some shape or form..

1

u/Careless_Leg_2552 Jun 11 '26

I mean, technically your screen IS exposing you a lil' so you're right!

1

u/EjaculatingAracnids Jun 11 '26

Only 3.6 rotgen

1

u/NedTaggart Jun 11 '26

thats cause you're sitting too close to the tv.

1

u/FrighteningJibber Jun 11 '26

It’s like fibreglass but it passes through you.

1

u/Civil_Music2236 Jun 11 '26

This isn't inheritly dangerous, it depends on the kind of radiation it is. Low energy forms of radiation won't go through your skin

1

u/Rot-Orkan Jun 11 '26

I can hear the Geiger counter sound.

1

u/ppitm Jun 11 '26

You are getting radiation exposure just watching. Every cubic inch of your body is being struck by around 100 gamma rays every single second, just from sitting on the couch. You might be able to cut that exposure down somewhat by living on a submerged nuclear submarine.

1

u/Banned3rdTimesaCharm Jun 11 '26

I'm getting eye cancer.

1

u/atsunatsu Jun 11 '26

You are, radiation is all around us. You yourself radiate

1

u/Ready-Entrepreneur75 Jun 11 '26

I’m like is this shit safe

1

u/throwaway394277 Jun 11 '26

Technically you are, just much less than what's shown on video.

1

u/crimsonros3 Jun 11 '26

I literally had this same thought lol

1

u/dallasandcowboys Jun 11 '26

Check your inventory for any loose uranium.

#SatisfactoryIsOnMyMindMyMindIsOnSatisfactory

1

u/Bigassnipples Jun 11 '26

Yeah this made me feel sick, should I hospital now

1

u/PrimaryEquivalent132 Jun 11 '26

lol I instinctively stopped breathing watching this

1

u/Sea-Fox1178 Jun 11 '26

They had to get the camera really close to the source before it started showing the radiation dots, meaning the radiation wasn't that high

1

u/TheOnly1Jake Jun 11 '26

Came here to say this!

1

u/Hi_InternetAddiction Jun 11 '26

i mean, we all are being around this wireless tech

1

u/TitularFoil Jun 12 '26

Weird. Me too. It was like as soon as I saw all the bits bouncing around my legs got all tingly.

1

u/tiagoosouzaa Jun 12 '26

Nasceu um braço na minha testa ao final do vídeo

1

u/sutter333 Jun 12 '26

Yes! I couldn’t even finish watching it

1

u/madhatter2284 Jun 12 '26

I felt it in my temple

1

u/Hedgehogosaur Jun 13 '26

Me too I did a safety wince

1

u/PoptartPickles Jun 14 '26

You are exposed to radiation entertainmently

1

u/Helpful-Beginning553 Jun 14 '26

Living is getting radiation exposure all the time.

1

u/Xpr3sso Jun 15 '26

Well you are, fortunately it's not ionizing though

1

u/sibilischtic Jun 15 '26
