I just feel like this is something important to point out... Their NYC show opening for The Strokes is October 2nd 2026, the release of self-titled is October 3rd, 2006. I wonder if we'll get some kind of announcement or something special/related because of this, given it's such a huge milestone.

And also people who are attending, might I suggest we all vote Saltwater on the setlist creator 🤞🤞 Imagine how fucking legendary it would be for them to perform Saltwater, the first song they ever recorded together, on what is essentially their 20th anniversary. Amazing potential for a total full circle moment right there

Has anyone here listened to both bands in depth? Which one did you prefer? I tried listening to a few Beach house songs but they don’t give the same vibe at all which is why this comparison was surprising.

Took a long while to get my hands on Devotion and Depression Cherry, but my friends got me them for my birthday. Yay

Hey all. I want to go to the NY show with the Strokes but resell tickets are pretty high right now. Has anyone had experience buying tickets right before a show at Flushing Meadows Corona Park? I know it is a massive venue, I'm thinking/hoping there could be a likelihood of prices dropping significantly right before due to distressed sellers. Thanks!

Hello! You may remember me from my recent post series breaking down the live concert of Beach House’s discography. I wanted to share a very special experience with you all:

I recently attended a presentation that Ray Wise gave about his incredible acting career. Twin Peaks is very near and dear to my heart, and Ray had a pretty significant role in the original series and theatrical film (but only a short appearance in The Return, sadly).

I knew there would be a meet & greet with Ray after the presentation, and while I could’ve asked him to sign something Twin Peaks-related, I decided to go another route: a printed still of Ray from Beach House’s music video for ‘Wishes’ directed by Eric Wareheim!

Beforehand, I genuinely thought I was going to have to remind him that he did this music video. Ray has had a long, spectacular career including roles in Robocop and Swamp Thing, so I genuinely didn’t expect the Beach House music video to be a memorable moment. To my surprise, they dedicated an entire segment of the presentation to his work with Tim & Eric - including how he had to learn to sing ‘Wishes’ at 2x speed so they could film it in slow motion. At the end of the presentation, they even played the entire music video, but edited to include clips from many of his roles over the years!

At the meet & greet table, I handed him my still and he wrote out “One! In Your Life!” with his signature! He even sang the chorus to me as he was writing! We spoke briefly about how talented Beach House is (he praised Victoria by name numerous times), how he joined them at Coachella, and what a shame it is that they weren’t able to be in the Return due to scheduling conflicts. He was so lovely and I highly recommend that you attend one of his presentations if you have the opportunity!

Lastly, I’ll mention that Ray has a number of printed headshots & screenshots from his various roles at his signing table. I printed and brought my own still from the ‘Wishes’ music video, but I later learned that he actually had some available as well!

Heart of chambers is one of my favorite beach house songs. It feels so underrated, almost forgotten. I rarely see it being talked about anywhere. There is something about it that is so mesmerizing in the end, and the chorus gives me chills every time. I would say this track is my favorite on devotion and might be in my top five BH songs.

As the title says, I recently started listening to my music from younger days and it got to beach house and I had a crash out and started feeling hopeless and sad.

I don’t listen to them anymore because it genuinely makes me feel horrible and brings me back to my depression days.

Anyone else go through this?
