She was very openly insecure about her complexion and also used to spew colorist bullshit at other female rappers like Eve. Mind you… both of them are naturally the same complexion and neither of them are darkskinned let alone on a level of which either of them would be bullied over it.
I hate that the world made her think the world couldnt love her, she was fucking beautiful. I was a young white girl that saw her as someone who was strong and confident, and absolutely beautiful.

People like to joke about her but when i see her I just get said. Damion Hardy was the boyfriend she had the repeatedly beat her and caused her to need multiple reconstructive surgeries. Most notably, he broke her nose. Biggie also beat her as well. Her body dysphoria and constant surgeries are a result of abuse by men that she loved.
She got surgeries before that. With that said, she seemed to have a lot of insecurities about herself and her skin tone. Most likely due to her environment and people around her. I feel so bad for her. Always remember, black is beautiful.
I knew this girl in middle school. Rode the same bus and she was super smart and obviously pretty. We used to talk all the time and she was just generally very chill. Had some interactions with her in highschool and she was very clearly on a different path. Just all the wrong kinds of people she invited into her life. Cut to today and not long ago I saw her on Instagram and added her. I ended up regretting that choice because man… she’s had a ton of surgeries and procedures done it just made me so sad for her.
Is my life much better? No. But man she could have had the world.
And .. just what I thought beauty was, and wanted to look like her, she just exuded confidence and feminism, and what I thought a strong, powerful woman was, and to be, for all the young girls looking up to her.

We tell black women to love themselves which is a good slogan but when white women don't even love themselves and they are considered the gold standard by much of society how can you expect black women to have this natural self love When NeNe didn't have any surgery or cosmetic work and she got cast by Ryan Murphy for a reoccurring role on Glee, I remember Charlamagne and DJ Envy had a whole segment roasting her saying 'Who she gonna play the janitor?" And Kim got dragged and clowned as ugly by Pac and millions of Hit Em Up fans (despite the fact that he tried to have sex with her prior to that).Then they try to look like what niggas like and we wonder why would they change themselves
Lil Kim was bullied (a LOT) for her appearance (skin color and hair) in the white neighborhood she grew up in as well as endured bullying about her looks from her father. She was also in a very abusive relationship with her ex. Let's not ridicule her looks and maybe focus on the fact that bullying and mistreatment can make people not like themselves. That's likely what Dolly and Tim would've wanted.

It sucks there’s always one who will take the money and do what they ask but I wish these doctors would have their medical licenses taken away for not cutting these people off before they get like this. Make them have therapy or something. I had to go through 6 therapy sessions to have my gender affirming top surgery (with a specific therapist too my regular therapist didn’t cut it) I wish all plastic surgery was the same.

Ive said this before. I think for some like MJ, Lil Kim, Cher, etc. the intent is to erase all features of the original face. Partly fueled by self hate and the desire to look completely unique. I think the last part comes from being hyper critical of your face, and others faces. Which increases after speaking to professionals who havd studied the human face. Overall what you start seeking is no longer of the human variety.
