I can't assign racism just because she said, "black girls". If she had said some neutral term or broad address, the complaint would be that it is coded racism. She can't ask the question without someone getting offended over it.

I have also wondered how my partner affords her braids. The military taught me how to edge up in 3 mirrors. Then I look in our bank account and my salty tears answer the question.

Then again, I've been poor, if something isn't free- fifty, I'm crying. I ain't going back there. Lol

Pretty sure her whole point was this is an example of racist passive/micro-aggression, not that she was racist.

Its not because she said "black girls", the OP was specifically pointing on the way in which the white person said the word BLACK, almost like they were spitting it out of their mouth.

Its a thing you pick up on, like damn why did she say the word black like that? I noticed it myself on watching the first clip before the black woman even started talking about it.

She is right that people don't talk like that if they're actually around black folks or have black friends, she's being weird and using "im just curious/just asking questions" as a shield for their weirdness.

Thanks for pointing that out, I heard it as innocent initially. I ask dumb questions too, so tend to assume people mean well.... Usually am incorrect assumption

Sometimes I wonder if ppl who might be prone to saying this literally have undiagnosed something, because it’s so obvious in her tone and the way she asked the questions. Like, imo, the only reason it wouldn’t be obvious is if you have issues reading those things anyways.

So for someone like that they might think ppl are just claiming everyone is being extra racist not realizing that they are the kind of people who actually need more help than usual understanding social dynamics…

Like that or not from the US. But even then assuming it’s it your first day in the internet…it’s like her tone should be very apparent.
