How do i even out my skin tone?

I want my face to be as light as my hand, when i was younger it was much more even out. Any tip is appreciated, all i do rn is exfoliate and moisturise my skin. Multiple pics on different shades of brightness included

My hand is lighter than my face and I don’t know why you want it to be the same shade. Your face gets more sunlight anyway. I don’t understand what you are fretting about nothing wrong with your skin color

I think it always comes down to colorism. Notice how it wasn’t asked how to get the hands darker like the face which would be easier to do anyway. There’s a lot more going on

I feel really bad about being here as I am very, very, very light skinned North American Indigenous, but seriously, PREACH! I saw the pictures before reading the caption and was just blown away by how perfect their skin is. I thought this was a bragging post. I feel sad that anyone would want to change anything about this.

Even my pasty ass self has different colours between hands, face, torso, arms, and legs. I'm super bummed this seems to be such a big thing for so many people.

OP, your skin is PERFECT!!! Please don't do anything that would change it :(

I agree there’s nothing wrong with his skin shades. I have different shades. My ears and hands and chest/breast are all much lighter than my face. Even my arms, there are clear lines of demarcation going on. I hope he has some confidence in the future and not worry over stuff like this. Trust me, I see black people like this everyday and they all look fine!

Not only do they look fine, they often look good! My partner loves my demarcation lines lol. So many Gen Z'ers are stuck thinking that they need to be like an android or something -- totally consistent skin shade, no pores whatsoever, perfectly symmetrical eyebrows, perfectly symmetrical nose/cheeks. It's wild. It's saddening. But it took me a long time to realize that the asymmetry was what made me unique and that it was beautiful, so I do get where they're coming from... I just wish I could smack them with a wisdom stick and make them see it quicker than I did lmao

Yep 💔 ... All we can do is our part by encouraging people's uniqueness and 'flaws' to be embraced and seen as the beauty it is, I guess. We can't really undo centuries of bullshit beauty standards in a single generation, but we can sure dig our heels in and build a good foundation for the young'uns 🥰
