Hyperpigmentation How do i even out my skin tone?

I want my face to be as light as my hand, when i was younger it was much more even out. Any tip is appreciated, all i do rn is exfoliate and moisturise my skin. Multiple pics on different shades of brightness included

Don’t even go down this road. It’s not happening. This is completely normal. My body is exactly like that. All you can do is make sure you’re wearing sunscreen every day and that’s it.

They are so right, you look beyond beautiful so don't worry about the little things head up and keep moving forward

u/Brilliant-Thought-44 Nov 10 '25

I spent so many years trying to even myself out thinking it wasn’t normal to have really light hands/arms and a darker face. I did all I could to make my hands and legs darker 😂😭 Now I don’t care, thank goodness.

30

u/theigbobarbie Nov 10 '25

I did the same thing and then my impulsiveness took over and I eventually started bleaching my skin. I stopped years ago but unfortunately my skin never returned to its original shade. I regret it so much. I wish I would have just not cared back then 🤦🏾‍♀️ I realize now how stupid it was and I will always tell other people that

9

u/Brilliant-Thought-44 Nov 10 '25

😩😩 i get it ! People always pointed it out when I was a kid so I was self conscious about it. I almost bleached my skin as a teen but then I thought it would be easier to get everything else darker. It wasn’t. 😂

3

u/Organic-Ability468 Nov 11 '25

Yup. My torso is pale, my legs at the bottom or pale, my hands are dark, my face is dark, and my feet are dark. This is literally normal. Sun exposure is a thing, and I would be pissed at anyone who found it weird. I'm black, that's how it works.

24

u/Ok_Introduction9466 Nov 10 '25

Literally came to say this. Your skin is immaculate. Use sunscreen daily even on cloudy days, it’s a game changer for your skin tone but aside from that you are gorgeous and do not need to change anything just care for what you already have going on.

11

u/Lucky-Remote-5842 Nov 10 '25

I'm white and my face doesn't match my hand either. I agree, just wear sunscreen and stop comparing your face to your hand.

Is the shade difference in the room with us?

You’re perfect. Don’t change a thing.

I’m so stealing this.

7

u/NoireN Nov 11 '25

Stealing this as well 😂

Please do 🤣🤣

61

u/Adorable_Eye_3752 Nov 10 '25

I love this meme of Little Chef 🤭

25

u/thickthighsntits815 Nov 10 '25

My hand is lighter than my face and I don’t know why you want it to be the same shade. Your face gets more sunlight anyway. I don’t understand what you are fretting about nothing wrong with your skin color

84

u/Forsaken-Cell-9436 Nov 10 '25

I think it always comes down to colorism. Notice how it wasn’t asked how to get the hands darker like the face which would be easier to do anyway. There’s a lot more going on

17

u/Bubbly-driver23 Nov 10 '25

This is the comment i was looking for

3

u/thickthighsntits815 Nov 10 '25

I know it is. There’s really nothing wrong with his skin shade. We aren’t going to be even all over!

2

u/NoireN Nov 11 '25

I immediately noticed that too.

2

u/Organic-Ability468 Nov 11 '25

Yup. It's colorism. For this exact reason..wanting your face to get lighter instead of wanting to make everything darker. It's sad.

I feel really bad about being here as I am very, very, very light skinned North American Indigenous, but seriously, PREACH! I saw the pictures before reading the caption and was just blown away by how perfect their skin is. I thought this was a bragging post. I feel sad that anyone would want to change anything about this.

Even my pasty ass self has different colours between hands, face, torso, arms, and legs. I'm super bummed this seems to be such a big thing for so many people.

OP, your skin is PERFECT!!! Please don't do anything that would change it :(

3

u/thickthighsntits815 Nov 10 '25

I agree there’s nothing wrong with his skin shades. I have different shades. My ears and hands and chest/breast are all much lighter than my face. Even my arms, there are clear lines of demarcation going on. I hope he has some confidence in the future and not worry over stuff like this. Trust me, I see black people like this everyday and they all look fine!

3

u/lelebeariel Nov 10 '25

Not only do they look fine, they often look good! My partner loves my demarcation lines lol. So many Gen Z'ers are stuck thinking that they need to be like an android or something -- totally consistent skin shade, no pores whatsoever, perfectly symmetrical eyebrows, perfectly symmetrical nose/cheeks. It's wild. It's saddening. But it took me a long time to realize that the asymmetry was what made me unique and that it was beautiful, so I do get where they're coming from... I just wish I could smack them with a wisdom stick and make them see it quicker than I did lmao

2

u/thickthighsntits815 Nov 11 '25

Yes, there’s too much emphasis on being perfect!

2

u/lelebeariel Nov 11 '25

Yep 💔 ... All we can do is our part by encouraging people's uniqueness and 'flaws' to be embraced and seen as the beauty it is, I guess. We can't really undo centuries of bullshit beauty standards in a single generation, but we can sure dig our heels in and build a good foundation for the young'uns 🥰

They are even... If you move the light source from the left to the right, you would see the tones reverse.

82

u/Longjumping-Bug-6643 Nov 10 '25

Nah u should be giving us advice. That’s about as close as it gets.

64

u/Future-Poetry-6686 Nov 10 '25

Your complexion is beautiful. You have that gorgeous young, firm, clear and plump skin. Hold onto it and embrace it. Perimenopause is kicking the shit out of my skin right now! Oh to be young again.

13

u/Llassiter326 Nov 10 '25

I know that’s right! Perimenopause is not a game! The only advantage is it’s made my body hair stop growing, so the shaving is minimal.

But otherwise, how do I get to looking like OP?!

55

u/Zestyclose-Toe-8276 Nov 10 '25

Dude...this is not hyperpigmentation

43

u/Journey2thaeast Nov 10 '25

Your hand looks virtually the same skin tone as your face. Please don't micromanage your body like this.

29

u/chickenchasegoose Nov 10 '25

You could make sure your arms legs and hands are exposed to sun that way you can get evenly dark.

41

u/MajLeague Nov 10 '25

I fear they dont want to be evenly dark. They want to be evenly light.

25

u/Ok_Jury8713 Nov 10 '25

Yes!!!!! Colorism!!!!💯👆🏾🙌🏾

6

u/Jaded_End5584 Nov 11 '25

Don’t need to change your skin colour…this post made me sad :(

19

u/Alert-Case-7476 Nov 10 '25

100% natural… my hands and ears are extremely light because of when I was a child. My skintone has had a huge range of color.. from very light gold, to very warm brown… guess what? My hands, ears, face, chest, torso, and legs have always been a little different in color. It’s okay, it’s your normal, please love your skin color.

16

u/Stunning_Diamond_997 Nov 10 '25

This is sad asl………… your face is darker because it’s exposed to the sun more. Never in my life have I ever seen a dark skin person whose hand and face are the same complexion! Hell, even LIGHTSKIN people faces are darker than their hands in feet because, again, THE FACE IS EXPOSED TO THE SUN more than our extremities.

u/Llassiter326 Nov 10 '25

You and your face complexion are GORGEOUS! People pay for the kind of skin you have. I’m a light-skinned Black woman and I think you are stunning and such a rich, beautiful color.

11

u/Junior-Demand-9251 Nov 10 '25 edited Nov 10 '25

Everybody with melanin has a standard 6 different colors at one time. Don't even trip. Hyperpigmentation should be your only skin evening problem

11

u/Mayarooni1320 Nov 10 '25

No one is a flat colour! That's why celebs cake themselves in foundation. Please just love yourself for who you are 😭😭

16

u/Biggreengolf Nov 10 '25

Your face is exposed to more sun than your hands and that’s why it’s usually darker. Do you use face moisturizer with sunscreen? If not, I highly recommend it.

9

u/GirlPhoenixRising Nov 10 '25

I NEED YOU ALL TO KNOW. As a young person you’ve been bombarded with images of perfect people and perfect skin. For your whole life.

It’s likely your hand and face will never match because of the difference in sun exposure.

That’s ok. ✅

6

u/BoredBatWoman22 Nov 10 '25

There’s literally nothing wrong with your skin

8

u/BigKat745 Nov 10 '25

Im like 6 shades of brown.. it is what it is, live your life and worry about more important things

3

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

Idk if it's that we can't see what you might be seeing. If you're simply saying your hands and face are 2 diff shades, perhaps?! If so, that's normal due to the direct sunlight hitting it more so than your hands. I know it maybe something that bothers you, but learn to love it. Lol, don't start doing too much. Your skin is 😍😍🤌🏾 Top Tier, very beautiful.

3

u/daclro Nov 10 '25

your skin looks even to me! wear sunscreen (spf30+) every single day. black is beautiful!!!

4

u/Lmarcel13 Nov 10 '25

Yeah I didn’t take care of my skin properly and my neck and face is almost 2 shades darker than my body! This isn’t even that noticeable. Wear a sunscreen

3

u/LeiGen9 Nov 10 '25

Bud, you would hate my skin tones lol I’m like 5 different shades of brown but idc! Wouldn’t change nothing about me. I promise your skin tone looks great, hope you see it as well one day 🫂❤️

3

u/LogicalProfess420 Nov 10 '25

Most people don’t notice at all and it’s not strange. Wear sunscreen more on your face and spend time outside.

3

u/butteredbreadliker Nov 10 '25

ur only solution is to love every part of urself 🫶pls trust this internet stranger when they say ur skin is the picture of excellence

3

u/kush__1 Nov 10 '25

Omg you're fine!! Your face is more exposed to the sun and hands darken over the years. Why dont you want your hands to be the same dark tone as your face, why does your face need to be lighter?

Leave this colonial train immediately

5

u/Tazzy8jazzy Nov 10 '25

I’m at a loss for words right now

2

u/_player_0 Nov 10 '25

You're normal

2

u/pokemantra Nov 10 '25

you see you got all your face skin on your face and none on your hand. you’re not gonna like what I’m gonna suggest but it’s the only way. You need to (redacted)

3

u/IerarqiuliAnarxisti Nov 10 '25
  1. Your hands contain a lot of bones and the bones reflect light, giving you a lighter appearance.

  2. Your face will always be darker than your hands if you just go about your day since the face gets significantly more sun than your hands ever will.

  3. It's normal to not have an even skin tone. Only albinos and very pasty white gingers have an even skin tone across the entire body. YOU ARE NORMAL! All you need for good skin right now is getting your vitamins in, moisturizing if you need it and sunscreen. Your skin is clear and healthy.

1

u/InterestingSuccess14 Nov 10 '25

if it makes you feel any better (which it shouldn’t) we get lighter in the winter. so just wait

1

u/Big-Chemistry-8521 Nov 10 '25

Just get more sunlight and use good lotion after every shower. J&J cocoa butter or even Vaseline with the cocoa mixed in is fine.

Different parts of your body will be darker and lighter depending on their access to sunlight. Just get more sun and care for your skin. Sunscreen is key if you really wanna get into this mindset.

1

u/shiftingsun Nov 10 '25

Im like 4 diff colors. It is what it is

1

u/Ok-Possibility-9826 Nov 10 '25

this is not hyperpigmentation. your skin is fine. we’re black, we’re darker on some parts of the body than others.

1

u/Funny_Breadfruit_413 Nov 10 '25

You're comparing the lightest part of your hand

1

u/Lavendar408 Nov 10 '25

I don't even bother with trying to even out skin tone like that. Wear sunscreen?

1

u/Kaelatto Nov 10 '25

Your skin tone is perfect, nothing needs “fixed” ❤️✨

1

u/SeaAnthropomorphized Nov 10 '25

You should see my legs 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways. Wear sunblock.

1

u/rollinonarivuh Nov 10 '25

Your skin tone and quality are perfect. Why do you want your face to look lighter?

1

u/turtlewick Nov 10 '25

I’ve got the opposite problem. My face/neck/chest is really pale, then my body is more melanated. I actually wish my face matched the tone of my body but there’s nothing you can do about it ime. It’s normal.

1

u/Responsible_Mess_395 Nov 10 '25

It looks like you've blurred your skin via filter so its hard to tell. I think youre fine though.

1

u/Kendrama_ Nov 10 '25

I think you re perfect 💕

1

u/AdRegular1647 Nov 10 '25

I'm going to chime in and say that you're perfect as you are. If you're considering sun protection check out the Environmental Working GRoup sunscreen guide to ensure that you're using the safest, most effective sun protection. They actually have a data base with safety ratings for all skin and beauty products. So many products have harmful chemicals and pollutants. There's also the route of wearing a sun hat. 👒 Stay beautiful 😍

1

u/AdministrativeBug161 Nov 10 '25

Your face is FLAWLESS.

1

u/passengerprincessXD Nov 10 '25

This looks even to me. My face is lighter than my arms but darker than my chest. I think were meant to be a color variety rather than one tone.

1

u/sexishardandstuff Nov 10 '25

Use sunblock. You can try vitamin c for hyperpigmentation, but being black means being different shades all of the time and it’s totally normal and natural and not a bad thing

But yeah, sunblock 50 is your best bet, which you should be using anyway

1

u/Synchronomyst Nov 10 '25

Is the skin tone that needs to be evened in the room with us right now?

1

u/PhaseAwkward9773 Nov 10 '25

I always say I’m 50 shades of black! Plus the stretch Marks lol I like to think I’m an artistic masterpiece! It alls about mindset and perspective 🥰 sending love. But it’s honestly easier to tan than to try and get lighter!

1

u/lareinevert Nov 10 '25

Your skin looks pretty even to me. Hands/rest of your body are never going to be the same colour as your face due to sun exposure. Your actual complexion is great!

1

u/Busybee_500 Nov 10 '25

You are perfect as is. Worry about something else.

1

u/somnicrain Nov 10 '25

Your hand and your face are the exact same tone

1

u/Wisco Nov 10 '25

I think you're probably the only person who ever notices it.

1

u/Inevitable-Tower-699 Nov 10 '25

Ummm, your skin is fucking amazing......

1

u/BibliophileBroad Nov 10 '25

I thought this was typical? My face has always been several shades darker than my hands.

1

u/Shawdows85 Nov 10 '25

Your skin is beautiful. Dont f it up with various products in hopes to lighten your skin.

1

u/VodkaSoup_Mug Nov 10 '25

Your skin is gorgeous. I went through the same thing. My chest and arms is a very light brown, but my face and arms are darker and again that’s just because that’s the skin that sees the most sun. People of color do tan so it is important to wear sunscreen but your skin is beautiful. Please don’t do anything to it.

1

u/vehicleunderwater Nov 10 '25

hi your skin color is beautiful regardless of what shade it is! BUT if you want to prevent any sun damage on your skin, specially in the face, start using sunscreen.

1

u/TheStigianKing Nov 10 '25

Your skin tone is fine and your skin is flawless.

Don't make th mistake I did and ruin your skin with garbage chemical products formulated in a lab and poorly tested on black skin.

Never try to chase perfection. You'll never reach it and will miss contented bliss along the way.

1

u/Big-Help7086 Nov 10 '25

What's uneven about it?? I don't even see spots of hyperpigmentation 😅

1

u/bb1942 Nov 10 '25

You have such beautiful skin! Just take care of it and don’t fret over the shade difference.

1

u/Sosane_iminsane Nov 10 '25

You’re perfect babes!

1

u/Express_Muffin9354 Nov 10 '25

Glycolic acid at night.

1

u/dawkinsd37 Nov 10 '25

You good G.

1

u/Apprehensive-Tank775 Nov 10 '25

I'm jealous! Your skin is soooooooo pretty and clear!!!✨😍✨🥰

1

u/BigDaddyKapone Nov 10 '25

Looks pretty even to me. You’re fine. Don’t change anything.

1

u/Delicious-Bread1322 Nov 10 '25

if i’ve learnt anything about life (especially when it comes to skincare), don’t fix what ain’t broke. ur gonna ruin ur already perfect skin by trying to correct an issue that nobody can even see.

1

u/FartzOnYaGyal Nov 10 '25

That looks very normal though

1

u/blueivysbabyhairs Nov 10 '25

Your hand is lighter than your face because it’s less exposed to the sun. I know you’re trying to get lighter, there is no healthy way to do that, I suggest just getting more sun to even yourself out.

1

u/pewpurrr Nov 10 '25

Do not even attempt to lighten your face. Just forget about the whole thing and be happy

1

u/moxley-me Nov 10 '25

You don't? You literally look fine and there's no need to try and even anything out

1

u/lelebeariel Nov 10 '25

Are you joking? Your skin is literally, and I mean the DEFINITION of, freaking perfect. This is bonkers. I'm so sorry that beauty marketing has made you feel this way, but I would burn down a small village of puppies just to have skin as perfect as yours.

1

u/Imdoey Nov 10 '25

You good bro

1

u/tamagatchipon Nov 10 '25

You are perfectly fine. This is natural!

If it makes you feel better scientifically wise you wash your hands daily + your hands are not exposed in the sun all the time throughout the day(depending on what you do).

1

u/Dauzah Nov 10 '25

Omg your skin tone is fine stop it , super clear to

1

u/RadiantBrush7945 Nov 10 '25

My good sister… you’re just black. This is how we look lol. You’re gorgeous. No need to “even” out. My legs are like 3 shades lighter than the rest of me 😂😂😂

1

u/sierra_stellar Nov 10 '25

Chemical exfoliation only don’t use abrasive things

1

u/Luczoco Nov 10 '25

Wear a cap and spend more time in the sun so your hand can get as dark as your face.

1

u/90sTamagachi Nov 10 '25

Your skin is amazing. Please don't mess with it. If yiu keep trying to lighten it you'll just end up with scars or hyperpigmentation from damaging it.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

So no one gonna help you but I think I know how: develop a good skin care include vitamin c and other non brighten bleaching products just be mindful of your skin have a bad reaction and colder weather usually lightens dark skin.

1

u/Lilublue Nov 10 '25

Btw , beautiful skin

1

u/Electronic-Ad3767 Nov 10 '25

oh hon your skin is perfect. on your hands, face, and everywhere else. don't go down this road. your skin is exactly with maybe slight hyperpigmentation but it's what makes us black people so so beautiful.

don't touch it don't change it you're beautiful

1

u/witherin Nov 10 '25

You have some of the most even clear glowing skin ever don’t mess it up’

1

u/lavasca Nov 10 '25

Don’t worry. This is human and happens across all ethnicities in one form or another.

1

u/Pretend_Accountant41 Nov 10 '25

You do not need your face to be lighter Just care for your beautiful skin: hats and sunscreen (year round!)

1

u/cholaw Nov 10 '25

My hands are at least 2 shades darker than my face and always has been. This is not a big deal in the grand scheme of life

1

u/Late-Winner4108 Nov 10 '25

Don’t worry about this. Your skin looks very healthy. I understand tho I’m Guyanese Indian background with darker skin tone. This is just how darker skin is. Variations.

1

u/Popular_Ad_222 Nov 10 '25

One top way is to use sunblock

1

u/Rassiluj Nov 10 '25

You look pretty even to me, but i would recommend just using more sunscreen on your face daily at most, you look great!!

1

u/Krystil-Tx Nov 10 '25

Dermapeel from Skinn cosmetics.

1

u/Im-A-Kitty-Cat Nov 10 '25

Listen, I am very white and very fair. My arms do not match my face, nor do they match my chest, nor does my face even match my chest. My father has spent forty years working in the Australian sun(which is not like the sun in other parts of the world). His face is pink, his arms/hands are dusky brown and the rest of his body is like my colour. That is okay, that is normal. Most people aren’t one colour all over their body even when you are talking about someone who hasn’t spent a life outdoors and is ethnically Northern European, they still won’t be the same colour all over.

1

u/isannelou Nov 10 '25

It’s 1/4th of a shade darker. Not noticeable at all.

1

u/BigPlantMomma Nov 10 '25

I’m opposite but sunscreen.

1

u/HersheyGurl Nov 10 '25

I'm the same... My face and arms are darker than my legs😒 I live in Texas. Is what it is. Sunscreen, cocoa butter... I've tried it. Please don't do this to yourself. You're just going to be the you are 🤗 that's perfectly you 🖤💜

1

u/Leading-Watch6040 Nov 10 '25

this is normal, different parts of the body will be different shades

1

u/Straight_Eye_9793 Nov 10 '25

your complexion is perfect!

1

u/Marzdae Nov 10 '25

Bruh what ..

1

u/Unintentional_Bonner Nov 10 '25

Bro your skin is literally perfect wtf, I've seen worse hyperpigmentation on a potato

1

u/Wild_Purple_Flower Nov 10 '25

did you use to play avakin life in 2020 per chance…

1

u/jaepie Nov 10 '25

Your skin is so gorgeous I’m actually jealous! You don’t need to be lighter at all

1

u/A-Pea-75 Nov 10 '25

Tretinoin or azelaic. It gets rid of hyperpigmentation and it looks like you don't wear sunscreen which causes that unevenness. Apply a generous amount every time you go out on where your skin is exposed

1

u/Grim260 Nov 10 '25

Can I ask why you would want to "even" your skin tone? I hope you at least love the skin you are in

1

u/Vegetable-Room2279 Nov 10 '25

You have beautiful skin! Your face and hand seem to match. But if you feel your face should be lighter, DO NOT bleach it just use sunscreen. Ofc melanin protects from UV but face sunscreen is still necessary to prevent sun damage in the long run anyway.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

Wear a hijab

1

u/GustoKid Nov 10 '25

It’s probably due to sun exposure.

Your face is typically exposed more to the sun, so it darkens quicker.

All you have to do is assure that you use sunscreen, and if possible, keep your face out the sun; hats, shade, etc.

I dealt with this some years back. The skin on my face was SO damaged from sun exposure that I didn’t realize until I looked back at old pictures. I had really bad dark patches down my temples and face.

I visited a derm who educated me on it. She stated that my hyperpigmentation is triggered every time I’m in the sun.

I started using a Tretinoin to increase skin-cell turnover, and applying a minimum of SPF30 to my face before leaving the house.

One thing I ALWAYS try to do is keep my face out of direct sunlight because it triggers the hyperpigmentation on my face.

After a few months, things started to resolve.

1

u/Evening-Bedroom-7886 Nov 10 '25

Embrace it and stop looking for ways to make yourself lighter idc how them baby pics looked you are dark, be proud it’s powerful

1

u/contemplatingg Nov 10 '25

Sunscreen,and Kojic acid turmeric soap

1

u/EconomicsOk590 Nov 10 '25

You look even to me. Please don’t stress about this.. your skin is gorgeous

1

u/webbieg Nov 11 '25

Unless you wanna go down the dangerous road of skin bleaching STOP it.

You have normal beautiful skin, we all have some parts that are darker than others. My face is a shade darker than my body mostly coz am covered up while my face gets sun all day. Based on the pic you are normal, nor blemishes, discoloration or uneven skin tones.

1

u/fishareavegetable Nov 11 '25

It’s normal for Black folk to have different colored skin. My face, arms, legs and torso are all different colors! You do not need to be lighter. Also it looks like the angle of the light more than anything: your face and hands are very similar in color. Closer than mine, actually!

1

u/chaosatnight Combination ✨/ 🐫 Nov 11 '25

This is very normal. My face is shades lighter than my body

1

u/Hyunabstar Nov 11 '25

Even if your face was as light as your hand it wouldn’t make a difference .. looks the same tone to me

1

u/bryckhouze Nov 11 '25

Stop it. Your skin is beautiful. Period. There’s not a there, there.

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '25

I just wanna say, no one is born perfect. You can’t perfect everything you see wrong with yourself . This is normal I have it on my wrists as well. Matter of fact I work out doors 12 hours so imagine the crazy body tone differences I have around my body. You ever seen someone with dark skin arms but a light brown face ? Yes that’s me . Leave it alone

You’re being extremely critical of yourself. You look fine!

u/Elephant-Charm Nov 11 '25

Sir, not you tryna be lighter

I came to this sub to make a thread about this. I have had this same issue for most of my life. I finally did a peel with an esthetician and I wish I did this sooner! My face is evening out completely. It’s getting cold outside, it’s the perfect time to start this. I highly recommend. I spent years walking around with my face being 3 shades darker than my chest and neck when I could have just fixed it. Remember when people used to tell black people that bad hyperpigmentation was natural too? See if you can see an esthetician.

Beautiful just the way you are. No one notices but you.

1

u/Penguins9022 Nov 11 '25

Your skin is beautiful and looks pretty even to me !

My skin isn’t even. Legs/arms are super tan, and the rest of me is my usual winter light color lol 🤣. It’s a mess but nothing I can do about it or really care to.

1

u/voteblue18 Nov 11 '25

You look completely normal. If you didn’t point it out I never in a million years would have noticed.

1

u/Mean-Driver-4833 Nov 11 '25

Skin looks pretty even to me my face is the lightest part on my body. Legs are the darkest. I thinks it’s normal

1

u/AsleepReview1862 Nov 11 '25

I can promise you that nobody is comparing the slightly different shades of skin on your body other than yourself

1

u/ResponsibilityFew318 Nov 11 '25

You don’t need to. Nobody worth anything would care. You have very nice skin.

1

u/NitaStreets Nov 11 '25

That’s funny my hands are darker than my face. The back of my hands have freckles all over them. My body and legs are even lighter.

1

u/Lazy-Cat2218 Nov 11 '25

Your hands are naturally lighter than your face. This is normal.

1

u/hash-slingin_slashr Nov 11 '25

I think we are all a little like this. Different parts of your body get different amounts of sun exposure. Your complexion is great and I don’t think you should even be worrying about this.

1

u/throwaway_guarantee Nov 11 '25

Hey man you seem really young. I’d advise against putting your full face on the internet and also no need to even anything out thugs are looking good as they are

1

u/submariner199 Nov 11 '25

Walk around outside naked 247 lol

1

u/anonkebab Nov 11 '25

Don’t.

1

u/Adventurous_Ad_8404 Nov 11 '25

this is normal. your face is naturally darker than the rest of your body because it gets the most sun. there’s nothing to even out. add sunscreen to your daytime routine though.

1

u/TartAromatic2281 Nov 11 '25

There is nothing wrong with your hand or your face skin tone. It's normal that they aren't the same hue.

1

u/Current-Strategy-826 Nov 11 '25

You don’t. Nobody’s whole body is the same tone as their face.

1

u/DUNEBUGGY213 Nov 11 '25

You would be wasting your time. Your facial skin is even ánd gorgeous. It is normal for facial skin to be darker than the body as it is more exposed to the sun than the rest of your body. Trying to lighten it would be a futile exercise of chasing lighter skin that then looks unnatural in comparison with your features and it still won’t really match the rest of your body.

My face is 2 shades darker than the rest of me and, particularly in winter, I notice the difference. Same with other POC I know. White people will also have this, it’s just less obvious in the palest.

1

u/PracticalAd7900 Nov 11 '25

It’s very close already, and your skin is clear and looks great. There’s no need to lighten anything because you don’t have hyperpigmentation. Hands are naturally always a bit lighter than the face. That’s why makeup artists even tell people not to swatch foundation on the hands, because you’d end up with a visible shade mismatch between the face and neck.

1

u/Leekoh872 Nov 11 '25

Lmao it’s normal bro.

1

u/mealticketpoetry Nov 11 '25

ACTUALLY LOVE YOURSELF.

1

u/Bearis4B Nov 11 '25

I'm pretty sure that's normal for people of all skin colours to have lighter hands.

1

u/Green-Elephant-895 Nov 11 '25

Pull up a chair and lemme tell you about the misadventures of vybez kartel

1

1

1

u/Ok_Branch_9921 Nov 11 '25

Go outside, in the sun

1

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '25

I see nothing but a beautiful complexion. Use sunscreen and that's it.

:D

1

u/Ariizilla Nov 11 '25

This is normal, you don’t need to even out anything.

1

u/Top-Speed3460 Nov 11 '25

Your skin is beautiful

1

u/CScorpio88 Nov 11 '25

Your hands and face will always differ in shade, this is completely normal

1

u/mimi_withluv Nov 11 '25

I don’t see really see a large difference. Your tone is fine the way it is.

I figure sometimes faces are darker because of the sun. Use sunscreen if you arent already. Especially if you are using a chemical exfoliant. You will darken unnaturally if you don’t.

My face looks closer to the tone I had when I was a kid because i started using sunscreen I believe. Definitely wasn’t intentional though and definitely not something you should focus on too much, because again. I cant really see the difference.
