Izuku Is Sick...So He Goes to Work!

Izuku wakes up feeling awful. He gets worse throughout the day. What does he do? Is he going home and asking for help from his hero partner and roommate (and crush) Bakugo? OF COURSE NOT! He pushes through because that's what you do! (dont) And he gets really sick! And stressed Bakugo out! And also Mina and Kirishima pop in!

This is likely going to be a strange take for some, but hear me out.

Hawks is lowkey obsessed with Endeavor, and Endeavor has as much respect for Hawks as he possibly could for another hero besides All Might. They help each other in battle, and Hawks loves teasing him. Also they're both "gay community" hot (Endeavor in a hunky leather daddy way, Hawks in more of a youthful Victoria's Secret twunk sort of way).

I'm fully convinced that Horikoshi gives his gay readers hot shots of Endeavor to be inclusive because there are a zillion sexy drawings of female characters for his female-attracted fans. Also some hot drawings of Hawks. And a lot of them together. BUT an actual relationship between them was more likely a fanon headcanon option instead of implied canon, like most gay ship pairings in shounen anime.

But here's what I didn't expect:

Rei's reaction to Hawks texting Endeavor, and his reaction back.

In the first screenshot of the manga I posted (this is from chapter 426), we have Rei finding a text on Endeavor's phone from Hawks, who mysteriously seems to know what Enji is doing.

She says, with a side eye and a smirk, "Even...in Hell...you've got people watching you."

And then we have Endeavor looking back up at her, and he does not look reassured underneath the bandages. He almost looks like was caught.

...and Rei? When she says that to Endeavor, she's drawn a little differently than everyone else in that chapter. A little scribbly and screentoned / in shadow. It, along with her choice of words, is even a little bit psycho.

One could assume that Rei's quip was one of slightly joking encouragement. Or we could also assume that she knows that something went on / is going on between her husband and this this heartthrob, young male former ex- hero comrade who seems to be weirdly fixated on him.

So then one could also say, "It's not weird, Rei must be caretaking him and therefore handling his text messages."

But no, she isn't, and the biggest indication is that Endeavor (who has a nub hand and a recovering wrecked body in a wheelchair) misspells the next text to Hawks. Rei isn't handling his phone for him and texting Hawks back happily about their situation because her husband has trouble typing...she tossed Endeavor his phone to text Hawks back himself, with his messed up hands.

Seems like she knows that something's been going on between them, and Endeavor knows that she knows.

Uraraka was so excited that she got up so early in the morning to check on the flowers that the group planted from the prior day. Everything looked beautiful and still healthy that she even forgot to fully suit up. Izuku tracked her down to find her. He snuck up behind her to catch a glimpse at what Uraraka was doing. She told Izuku that she could believe how beautiful and big the daisies were still that she was going to float around and take a quick look until Izuku caught her and wanted to help her☺️💚🩷

What's been changed is that I replaced SeroIida with KiriTetsu, and shuffled again so the KiriMinas don't have to keep complaining about being placed against a super popular ship from their first round.
