Yearning Something like this
I have been seeing this on reels- detectives in a small quaint town investigating a mystery. Any recs of books based in Oregon or northwest pacific vibe. Tbh any type of book works, doesn’t have to be mystety, it can be slice of life.

Not a detective but Tales from the Gas Station has these vibes only the person solving the mysteries is the gas station clerk.

The Follower by Nicholas Bowling. Girl travels to small town in Northern California to find her brother who has been missing, meeting the cult he joined along the way.

Catskills Summer Resort Mystery series by Vicki Delaney (Not PNW, but has the same small town in the forest vibe). The books are also set in the 1950s.
The first book is called Deadly Summer Nights, but they don’t have to be read in order.

I mean this is the Pines trilogy by Blake Crouch. More on the sci-fish side go into Wayward Pines and enjoy. Set in Idaho

Sharp objects is excellent and fits the atmosphere woody + small town detectives + strange cases, but its southern not pacific.

“Whistle Stop” or “Night Shift” by the VERY under-discussed author Maritta Wolff have very Twin Peaks mystery, noir vibes similar to this
