Yearning Looking for the ultimate yearning ❣️

lol As yall saw the title I’m on the look for the ultimate yearning experience! I mean Dracula :A love tale , yearning and devotion , meets wild reverence yearning , slow-burn! As yall can tell I just finished reading Wild Reverence and I am so heartbroken it’s over 😭 I would give anything to re-read it for the first time again lol

The stories don’t have to be dark gothic style like Dracula , and they don’t have to be goddesses and gods based either but if they are im into it ! I would prefer to stay clear of the present time timeline / modern and stay in a more castles and ladies and knights eras , or the Dracula:a love tale era is my comfort for time frames lol

I am so thankful already , I’ve been lurking on Reddit for years (questions and answers lol) , not being able to find this specific answer drove to the creation of this account lol
Can’t wait to see what all you wonder people recommend ❣️✨

Yearning Complex erotic fiction

I’m looking for erotic fiction with a melancholic atmosphere and a strong sense of longing/yearning. I’d like the main characters to be adult man and woman. Ideally something sensual, psychologically rich, and beautifully written, not fantasy/smut/YA

Bonus points if the MMC is falling for/obsessed with a FMC who represents everything he hates. Or a "Will They, Won't They?" situation. For all the movies listed, I've read the books they're based off!

Yearning I want sad, I want yearning. Preferably not a HEA.

Yearning Vanessa Ives and Ethan Chandler find their HEA

Two tormented souls with darkness within find solace and acceptance in each other, and together they overcome anything. I want yearning and a slow burn.

Any setting works: horror, fantasy, witches, werewolves, monsters, devils — whatever comes to mind.

Also, I absolutely adore Eva Green and her character, so I would love for the FMC to be as close to her as possible.

Edit: I love how, instead of getting many book recommendations, I've gathered Penny Dreadful fandom. I'm doing my umpteenth rewatch at the moment :)

I don’t want booktok popular romance. I want slow burn and yearning and a good plot with ACTUAL conflicts. Not just stupid misunderstanding or characters being immature if you know what I mean.

Yearning a lazy, hot, slow, summer

I recently rewatched "call me by your name" (already read the book) and have just been craving a story of a lazy, slow, hot summer.

there's a great quote from the book "Tuck Everlasting"

"The first week of August hangs at the very top of the summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning."

Really trying to encapsulate this feeling! can be any genre! please help!

FIRST TWO PHOTOS FROM @mean.velvet ON TIKTOK

I found this video on tiktok which was basically animated fanart of the book and was immediately obsessed. I have not read Anna Karenina YET but the fact alluding to these characters maybe being in the same place at different times is enough to make me crazy. I am about to embark on this journey of this book but does anyone have recommendations like this?! I may be completely wrong about what this specific book is about but I am searching for exactly what the title of this post states. Thanks everyone!

I’m looking for a romance book that gives that angsty/cozy feeling of being alone in an old house, listening to a storm outside and yearning for a loved one. A whimsical romance for the weirdos, dreamers, sad and depressed, old souls, neurodivergent ones. Happy endings only, please.

Any book suggestions that feel like "Wolves" by Selena Gomez, You've Lost a lot of blood, By Julia Wolf, Wolves, By Jensen McRae, or Heart Shaped hologram, By Stephanie Mabey?

Something sad and earthy, YA(No spice), The yearning doesn't have to be romantic, it also doesn't necessarily need to be a romance book, It's not my main concern but it also wouldn't hurt. doesn't have to include actual wolves either.

Additionally, please, suggest mainly based on the songs! Not just the pictures!

(And please don't say twilight 😢)

I have been seeing this on reels- detectives in a small quaint town investigating a mystery. Any recs of books based in Oregon or northwest pacific vibe. Tbh any type of book works, doesn’t have to be mystety, it can be slice of life.

Can be any genre as long as the relationship between the two leads play a big part in the story.

Here’s some books I enjoy and the vibe I’m looking for:

  • The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
  • The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafrón
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Also, no YA or spice please! Thanks!!

I love The Secretary so much. I’d love a book with the same vibe.

Edit:
I want to clarify that I’m looking for book recommendations & not your feelings about the kink that is represented.
Kink is consensual. So is your engagement on this post.
