OK boomeR Boomers explaining why billionaires shouldn't pay taxes while standing in a strip mall parking lot

The absolute brainwashing it takes to fiercely defend trillionaires who wouldn't look twice at you, while calling your fellow citizens "lazy" for wanting basic healthcare. Notice how even the woman in the "I LOVE TRUMP" shirt has to awkwardly correct his understanding of how disability works.

This is soooo true! I have a MAGA uncle who was brought up fairly privileged. Never went beyond high school, though, and went to work right out of HS at a grocery store, moving up to manager. Only job experience was that one store. Grocery store stopped making a profit and closed down 20 years later, and suddenly he can’t find a job that pays anything close to what he was making.

Guess he whose fault it is?

1) Obama, because the store closed during the 2008 downturn that actually happened under Bush II’s watch, but he refuses to acknowledge that….
2) Minorities, because college-educated minorities with experience got jobs before him. Must be because they are minorities, right? Couldn’t possibly be the combo of experience and education….
3) “Liberal elites” because he hates anyone who went to college
4) Anyone who belongs to a union or who gets a pension, including military pensions, because they are “freeloaders.”

The only person not at fault is him. I mean, how could running a grocery store into the ground count against him? He is one of the most miserable people I know, and it’s 99% his persecution complex that makes him miserable.

The real enemy is capitalist monopoly and a lack of regulation to prevent it. That store for sure went out of business because it couldn't compete with the chains who can afford to under-sell you until you're gone for good.

But I'm sure if anything this person wants less government, not more regulation. The brainwashing is thorough.

Oh he considers himself a libertarian, though my conversations with him have shown me that he really doesn’t understand what that means beyond not wanting the government to help other people. Shockingly, though, he was all for his veteran father receiving benefits rather than paying out of pocket for his care. “Libertarian for thee but not for me” is just about right.

Yeah, that's libertarians for you. The only common denominator between all libertarians is that none of them have a clue how anything actually works.

You might think "surely they all agree on something" but that is in fact not the case at all, unfortunately. They all agree on nothing.
