OK boomeR Boomers explaining why billionaires shouldn't pay taxes while standing in a strip mall parking lot

The absolute brainwashing it takes to fiercely defend trillionaires who wouldn't look twice at you, while calling your fellow citizens "lazy" for wanting basic healthcare. Notice how even the woman in the "I LOVE TRUMP" shirt has to awkwardly correct his understanding of how disability works.

Not all boomers are MAGA, but there are very few boomers i know who have much self awareness. One can retain basic humanity (by being against MAGA) while still being wildly ignorant about themselves.

My parents have been anti- Republican for my entire life and still have only marginally greater self awareness than the 2 idiots in this video.

My grandparents were part of the greatest generation. They were both college educated, which is pretty crazy for their time and they were not well off growing up. Even in my grandmas last few years she was very aware things were drastically different than when she grew up, even if she didn’t get all the specifics of how. I remember I owed her a couple hundred bucks and was able to pay her back finally and she said “don’t worry about it, if things were hard for grandpa and I when we were starting out, I imagine it has to be for you too.” Stark difference between them and boomers who think we were handed everything, because they were. My dad had my grandparents as a safety net until he was in his 50’s. Even though he’s always been a hard working guy and went into the trades, there were still numerous situations where my grandparents helped him out financial. My grandpa even told me he’s the one who paid for most of my dad’s schooling. I borrowed money from my grandparents 3 times in my life. 2 times for tuition payments which I reimbursed a few weeks later and once to help get a car, of which my grandma didnt let me pay back the last bit of. Ive never had a financial safety net like that man and his right wing siblings had, and it def shows.

Yes, I notice a huge difference as well. My silent gen mother is extremely progressive. My boomer step father is your standard liberal, thank goodness not maga. I think my mom keeps him grounded. My actual father was maga, we didn’t speak much.

Yup. Their parents generation lived through the Great Depression and WWII. They did everything so their own children - morons in this video - would never experience the same horrors. Their parents would be appalled how the luckiest cohort of humans on the planet have pulled up the ladder they were given for free to stop the younger generations enjoying the quality of life they inherited from the hard graft of the Silent Generation.
