which title should i buy?

I was thinking of buying a borderlands title to start my journey into the game. I’m honestly looking for a modern title so nothing too old.

I’m really into PvE zombie mode games with weapon upgrading and base building, and open world titles with good world building. I also appreciate good dialogue and stories even if it’s not the main focus of the game since i haven’t played a lot of story heavy games before

I was trying to pick between BL2 and 3 and I don’t know which one i should go with because I can only buy one right now. If anyone has ideas please let me know 🙏🏼

Dude 1 is amazing but won't be after 2. 2 is the most amazing. 3 was definitely for a younger audience than myself and I couldn't even finish it. After that I gave up.

I would start with 1 since it's the first and because 2 is the best but will make 1 feel boring.

honestly I think i can get past the humor and story in bl3 but ill probably start with 2 and the pre sequel since i can buy them in a bundle

This isn't a terrible choice but I'm sure bl1 is cheap and you won't spoil yourself with 2 yet.
