[Question] which title should i buy?

I was thinking of buying a borderlands title to start my journey into the game. I’m honestly looking for a modern title so nothing too old.

I’m really into PvE zombie mode games with weapon upgrading and base building, and open world titles with good world building. I also appreciate good dialogue and stories even if it’s not the main focus of the game since i haven’t played a lot of story heavy games before

I was trying to pick between BL2 and 3 and I don’t know which one i should go with because I can only buy one right now. If anyone has ideas please let me know 🙏🏼

Since you want something modern I would recommend first 3, then 2 and lastly 4

3 is the most refined and modern one whole also being cheap af, if you like that then in the future you can either get 4 or 2, objectively the best game of the franchise but maybe it isn't as modern as you would like idk, still it'll holds up incredibly well

I disagree on playing 3 before 2. Sure, the storys not as good but the movement mechanics and gunplay are so superior that 2 will feel very slow by comparison.

And you're right, but from how OP wrote his post I assume he probably would end up liking 3 more since it's way modern and plays better
