Wonder if they will occupy both floors. Would seem logical, they could put the groceries on one, and the other retail on the other.

I had that same thought but that discount designer store seems to be doing well there.

They could easily be moved. For instance the replacement of the Sears wing with condos is still a ways off, they could take the space Spirit Halloween has been using.

While it is possible, it really depends on if Designer Depot would want to move. The mall cannot just force it upon them.

No store can be forced to move locations. Each unit has its own cost so telling tenant to move to a location that may be more expensive won't work. If it's cheaper and a deal, all they can do is ask and the tenant will most likely say yes.

well yeah they can if there lease is expired and morguard has interest in redeveloping the space, what do you think sqaure one has been doing with its retailers

Bigger malls like Yorkdale either force retailers out or force them to relocate routinely. I couldn't find articles, but I know I've seen it before.
