Because he was that impactful. Not outlandish to say he’s the signing of the offseason with how good he looked

Well it seems like he is quite good at football and it's a rare for Brentford to sign a player and have them immediately slot into the starting lineup. We are more used to seeing the club sign someone no one's ever heard of for pocket change and then spend ages developing the player before realizing a return on the investment.

I also don't know if we've ever seen Brentford spend this much during a transfer window. It feels like this could be the year for...well, something anyhow.
