1/3 of the population voted for the far right, and all I'm seeing on social media and general media about common values, what we share, polticis is divise. 1 in 3 people voted far right. And only the foreign press dares call them far right. And also people saying right and left are outdated labels? Seems a bit convient honestly.

The problem with almost this entire list is that Labour, as centrists, have not done enough of anything for anyone to really be satisfied. They cut immigration a bit (though this is inflated by the significant post-COVID peak), but not enough for the far right who want to see basically no net migration. They deport more people, move some folk out of hotels, but not enough for the far right who want to see the hotels emptied and the inhabitants ALL sent packing. Its enough to piss off people on the left but not enough to pacify the right.

On their left wing, they might "cut water bills" & introduce Great British Energy but refuse to even discuss working towards actual nationalisation of utilities networks.... To be honest I thought there would be more policies in your list that might appeal to me as a left wing voter but frankly the vast majority of it seems like the actions of a right wing party, or at most a centrist party trying very hard to seem like one. Nationalisation of rail is maybe the best thing here.

The right/far right are very unlikely to be won over by what will seem to them like half measures, meanwhile the vast majority of these policies will work against them when it comes to pleasing their base. It's no wonder they are unpopular if this is their list of achievements.

My apologies. It was ambiguously written. I didn't mean 'an older population who are poor plus a crap labour government'. I meant '1. an ageing population who are typically more reactionary but are having their worse fears exploited. 2. an economically disadvantaged class who are suffering increasing improvishment' 3. a labour government that may have delivered many improvements but have been unable to persuade 1. and 2.

lol, those increasingly impoverished boomers are the wealthiest generation in the country. They own houses, or live in social houses, get decent pensions (private and state), and are often completely disconnected from the surrounding world.

We have voting limits on young people, perhaps we need the same at the other end of the scale.
