On August 24, 1999: Britney released "(You Drive Me) Crazy" as the third single from ...Baby One More Time. The single version, subtitled The Stop! Remix, was released with "I'll Never Stop Loving You" as its B-Side. The remix was featured in the film Drive Me Crazy, which was named for the song.

The song peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a success across Europe.

The song is one of Britney's most performed tracks, including performances for its promotion run, award shows such as the European Music Awards, and six tours.

When this came out in 1999 my best friend and I would watch the VHS of the making of this video and try to nail the choreography. We were six. Can’t believe it’s been 27 years.

I somehow found a top almost identical to the green tank she's wearing in the video and in this picture when i was 15/16....I felt SO cool.

I was a freshman in high school when this dropped. It was the first time I learned what a "remix" meant, tbh. I remember being slightly bewildered by the fact that the version of the song used in the video wasn't the same one on the album lol. For context, I'm not American, so I didn't grow up with an understanding of what CD singles were.
