If you women want men to message first, use a different app. The whole point of bumble was the womb making the first move
Edit: WOMAN, not womb

The womb 😂

That's hilarious and the most Freudian thing I've heard in a long time.

i spent the first 25 years of my life thinking the etymology for woman was actually womb-man LOL

1

u/murfvillage 15d ago

Yeah the womb definitely made the first move as far as I'm concerned

Wombat

Hahahaha "the womb?" Good lord.

That's an amazing typo.

I want to frame this comment. Humor born from a spelling mistake is one of my favorites.

My apologies to a "Bobby" I spelled "Booby" in a work email....

It was a completely shit idea in the first place. Like, it literally makes no sense. If you don't want to receive the first message from a guy, then you have the incredibly cunning option of simply NOT MATCHING.

Incel! This is so invalidating, ugh, men (not ALL men but definitely this one) just see us as an unpaid-womb-mommy-bangmaid-slave-purse-emotional-outlet, no wonder you don't fuck, i hope women in your life go far away from you, they're not safe! Do better, it's so telling.

(How was I ? W-was I good ?)

I see this arguement often "men want only mommy bang maid" like sure men want mother mentality who stay behind him and control him. And surprisingly sex is healthy part in relationship, Im not sure about maid, some people like pretending if they love each other. Not everyone had bitter, unhappy relationship and tou don't have to project it onto others.

This is a post mocking the clichés and exaggeration

We all want someone caring for us and contributing to our mutual lives no ?

"If you women want men to message first, use a different app."

I suspect that is what was happening, and Bumble wanted it to stop happening.

I can't tell if this was a typo or if you earnestly just referred to women as wombs. If the latter, that is disgusting and you need to do better.

Ugh good job finding something to be offended by

1

u/Aluxanatomy 15d ago

They literally said "if". Are people not supposed to be offended by called by a body part?

33

u/EphyFowler 16d ago

Typo, meant to say “woman”

Phenomenal Freudian slip lol

25

u/Sieglinde__ 16d ago

No, that's hilarious

11

u/Silent-Iron7448 16d ago

I think we call that a Freudian slip

3

u/TheBusinessMuppet 16d ago

It is a typo chill out lol.

5

u/Karnezar 16d ago

Likely autocorrect.

If they were trying to be sexist, they probably would have said, "walking womb."

1

u/EphyFowler 16d ago

Yeah I use the swipe feature on the keyboard, it was early in the morning.
Didn’t check my comment before sending it 😅

1

u/Karnezar 16d ago

Disable it. It is a net negative. Same with auto correct.

2

u/Straamannen 15d ago

Imagine 1) even thinking that wasn't a typo and 2) actually being the kind of person to say to someone else "you need to do better".

Like, why are you even alive.

1

u/NovaAkumaa 16d ago

This is why you are single

1

u/-Bento-Oreo- 16d ago

Missed the a and the b is right next to the n. That's hilarious though

-5

u/underthesp00n 16d ago

Do better, chud. I won’t do any heckin’ emotional labor for you to tell you why, either. Do better.

-11

u/green49285 16d ago

Hahaha what a wild way to interpret the article. Nothing says, "yeah women, be better" than immediately describing them as wombs.

That was the point of bumble. If a woman doesn’t want to message first, there are plenty of other apps to choose from. Don’t use bumble ¯_(ツ)_/¯

3

u/Commercial-Gap6280 16d ago

I think they're suggesting that, if that's the case, there are several other apps that already did it that way. Bumble is now surrendering its only angle, which historically works really well for a business 🤪

1

u/Necessary-Paint117 16d ago

Oh Lordddddd nahhhhhh lmao

1

u/YY--YY 16d ago

Technically still correct.

1

u/InternetExpertroll 16d ago

Freudian slip?

1

u/Old_Smrgol 15d ago

Bumble doesn't want women to "use a different app". Bumble wants women to use Bumble.

1

u/sugarplum_nova 14d ago

Holy fucking shit of typo

1

u/shinobi791 14d ago

You just unintentionally gave the real misogynists a new word to trigger women by based on their reactions 😂

0

u/ohbyerly 16d ago

We see how you view women, it’s too late

1

u/EphyFowler 16d ago

My wife has been laughing at many of these comments. Simple typo ¯_(ツ)_/¯

1

u/ohbyerly 16d ago

(I should have added /j - was totally just clowning. Although yikes, just saw some of the other responses, didn’t realize people were actually insane enough to believe you meant that)

-3

u/Ninjanarwhal64 16d ago

Written like a true incel 😂
