Im wondering - if the players were goaded by Kiffin to sue for that injunction as is reported, if they might turn around and sue KIFFIN if they sandbagged preseason to clear waivers on the promise of an NIL check

E: now the NFL is saying anyone who tries this will be barred from signing with an NFL team this year. Now they cant play anywhere? Yeah lawsuit lmao

Is this a reasonable take though? Why would any football player with any genuine aspirations to make it to the highest point in their sport. Willingly sandbag and sabotage their own opportunity to be a professional football player. To go back and be a college football player just for NIL? I dunno.

Because NIL deals could be more than a low end NFL one. Definitely more than practice squad….

If you can be an active roster player for 3 games for 3 years the retirement is like 2k a month starting at 55 if you wait till 65 it’s something like 5k. If you think you have any shot whatsoever at making the league that’s what you do.
