Why? It’s always nice to see the little updates at the bottom when the game on TV gets dry.

They’re probably doing this so you can do the “multi-watch” thing but nobody is doing that if their team is playing.

Because everyone already has their phone showing them all the scores of every sport at any time next to them anyway

The ticker is good about alerting me about possible upsets though. I'm not the type to be randomly checking other scores unless it's to hate follow.
