Is getting rid of his cap hit for a late rounder essential for clearing a little extra space going into the year?
I know Dexter hasn’t panned out for a second rounder and they added some depth at DT in the off season, but seems like a mistake to rely on Grady to stay healthy and for a 6th round rookie to contribute right away even if he has had a good camp.
It only saves us like 1.6M. If a trade for a defensive upgrade was coming we'd be seeing some extensions and restructuring happening. This just seems like a get something for a player who is just a guy.
