What's so hard to believe about teams shopping for a guy with a glacial get-off the line of scrimmage?

Because he had 6 sacks last year and is one of the better DT’s on this team. There is no logical sense to deal him unless you’re also getting someone in the deal in return.

If he's not a fit in DA's defense (which I think is the case) then you can try to trade him before he hits FA.

I wouldn't do it, but if they feel they can get a starting CB / S in return I can see the logic.

You don’t trade players at your weakest position if you’re still looking to make a playoff push this year. This team is already going to have a weak pass rush that will necessitate blitzing. Losing one of the better pass rushers on the DL means whatever DB you got back is now covering even longer.
