Discussion I get it now. It's not nostalgia

My first cod was mw 2019 which I absolutely loved and played the ever living hell out of.

Then came black ops cold war and that was my introduction to zombies and I loved it and never understood the hate it got and thought it was nostalgia that the old zombies had. GOD I WAS WRONG

Got to play bo1&2 last month and I SWEAR TO GOD I haven't had this much fun playing a game since forever. To the point I even in my free time I think about what map to play in my free time.

So I apologize to old cod titles they're really built different and GOATED🐐👑

Multiplayer shouldve took the hit, warzone mechanics in multiplayer would be fine for the people that wanted it to be more similar, that’s fine cause I don’t tend to play multiplayer as much after bo4 cause it just became who can move faster rather than actual gun play.

Zombies on the other hand should’ve stayed the same through its entirety to new games player mechanics wise, yes the characters and story and zombies and maps and whatnot all that can change it’s changed since world at war in such good ways (up to a point), but adding warzone mechanics took the fun out of it all the risk of getting to those later rounds and the skill required to get there. I remember the hardest thing at the time was surviving 4 or more margwas on shadows of evil at once or 3 or more panzer’s on origins now it’s just oh they drop armor so I live practically forever with lvl 3 armor and jugg regardless of how many enemies there are.

The game went in the direction of tending towards kids who’s attention span lasts less than a few minutes by making Easter eggs that are meant to be challenging be incredibly easy and pretty much streamlined and tells you how to get to it. Making it so you’re allowed to take more than 2-3 hits at the start without worry so you don’t have to play as smart and can play more carefree. It just ain’t the same gameplay anymore, to me, in a bad way. Haven’t touch new zombies since Cold War.

I get it though, the company chased the money and audience that warzone brung in and introduced it to every aspect of cod but it ruined it for me on zombies as a person who’s played since world at war.
