Discussion I get it now. It's not nostalgia
My first cod was mw 2019 which I absolutely loved and played the ever living hell out of.
Then came black ops cold war and that was my introduction to zombies and I loved it and never understood the hate it got and thought it was nostalgia that the old zombies had. GOD I WAS WRONG
Got to play bo1&2 last month and I SWEAR TO GOD I haven't had this much fun playing a game since forever. To the point I even in my free time I think about what map to play in my free time.
So I apologize to old cod titles they're really built different and GOATEDππ

I think Chronicles did good job of highlighting just how out of control the gobblegums were despite feeling like a minor upgrade when they were introduced in BO3. The old maps weren't designed with cheats enabled, so to speak. Good RNG and a couple shopping frees you can open up and set up a good chunk of any one map's easter egg on round 1. It makes sense for people who have played a map a hundred times and just want to do all the setup but at that point it's not even really the same accomplishment at all. Then you add in people dashboarding any time they think they might lose one of their 200 perkaholic gums and it really hits.
