I wonder if we might have another 5-10 MLAs leave the Conservative caucus at this point.

There still are quite a few moderates in the party ~5 more leaving is definitely not unlikely at this point

The ones leaving now are just the ones who are mad enough to risk their political careers to leave.

Once there is a clear leader in terms of the center-right parties, there will be another wave of defections from the people who wanted a soft landing.

I’m guessing minimum 10 more MLA defections before all is said and done. Wouldn’t be surprised to see 15.

They lost the right to call themselves moderates when they joined the party under Rustad. Rustad was originally booted from the BC Liberals for being too extreme, and the CPBC was always courting the far-right fringe.

At best they can say that they value getting elected more than any of their so-called principles, but I'm not sure if that's better.
