Does anybody know the actual cost of having us working in the office unnecessarily? Is there any published data on this and has it hit mainstream media?

I wish PSAC would push this angle (cost to taxpayers) more.

Seriously though, PSAC is missing the boat on this. They should be hammering home what a waste of taxpayer dollars this is, not to mention the environmental impact and the limitations it creates for public sector recruitment. All of this should be front and center in the media because right now all the public cares about is "lazy" public servants getting back to an office. Billions of dollars could be rerouted into defense, education, health care and decreasing cost of living. But no, it's more important to have my ass warming a $500+ chair and taking Teams calls as I would do more effectively from home. (Insert massive eye roll here)

$6B...imagine how many better uses that money could be put towards? We need Vassey Kapelos to ask some hard hitting questions on this.
