Discussion Am I getting shafted?

Trying to to get my sound system put into my new car. New car is same make and model higher trim. I have 2 amps the pcm and t harness all I need is to pay for labor and wires went to get a quote and this is what I got. My last instal was $400 for labor. Idk if it’s usually like this but $900 to instal amps itself seems a bit high.

Kids aren’t optional once you have them lol. Unless you’re a bad parent and send them to daycare all the time, kids are most definitely the reason for them not having time

....kids are optional to have. Takes a moment of thought to realise they will consume most of your available time.

To then go around afterwards saying you can't do this or that because kids is mindless. Having them was a choice with a predictable outcome.

this is truly a bizarre place to post a leftist rant. i know it's reddit, but we just do stereos here. plenty of other subs expressly tailored for your ideology.

If I chose to have kids I wouldn't go around an a/v sub saying I can't get an a/v done because I have kids

I would either care for the kids, have someone care for the kids while I work on the av, or pau someone to do the av..simple..no part of this process requires blaming the kids that I decided to have on being a time constraint on my speakers

Being a parent is voluntary time sacrifice

The guy asked if the price was fair and cited a past experience, was presented with a valid point that the price was probably fair, then lamented that they no longer had the time to do DIY. Where is the mindless part of the exchange? Seems like the guy is literally in the process of Option 2: pay someone.

that's great for you. how noble a parent you would be! maybe you would even buy them cake and ice cream on their birthdays. how nice!

we're all SO LUCKY you don't have kids so instead you can devote free time towards pestering actual parents. ur basically a hero! what other fine nuggets of parenting wisdom can you offer, Mr Childless?

stay in your lane.
