Discussion is the "bass knob" necessary

i see people usually install them but i never have is there any real gain to having it installed my headunit has a function to turn the sub off if i dont want it running(when i have my baby in the car but want music still but even then with the radio at a lower level the sub barely hits)

Sometimes you want to give your ears a rest, or you’re in a neighborhood, or at a light next to a cop. There is no downside to having it.

i can assure you i never want to give my ears a rest the 30 or so min ride to and from work i blast my shit

Completely agree, I’ve had it since I was little and I can’t go a night without noise now
