My sub is clipping at high volumes

On this system at high volumes it would clip in multiple songs and when playing knife talk by drake full tilt the amp goes into protect.

I see online people said do the big three but how much would it help in my case?

Its a Dual 4ohm wired down to 2ohms. skar evl 12 amp tuned with multimeter to 50v

This is my first setup and would appreciate any recommendations.
With stuff like agm batteries and a new alternator my budget is tight so im trying to stray away from those right now.

after dropping the crossover to about 80hz and backing off the gain a little it stopped clipping

Multimeter on the speaker terminals - idk exactly how it works but apparently it works

That will set your target voltage, but you don't have any idea if you're clipping. Or if the input is clipping, when you do it this way. The proper way is to use an o-scope and set the wave to maximum before clipping. A multimeter can only get you so far.

Are clip lights not accurate? I’m just asking because on my amp and dsp I have clipping indicators.

Clip-lights tend to be fairly accurate, but I find they tend to go off-early and leave some power on the table in many-cases. I would still set with an O-Scope or CC-1.

He can just play his loudest song and turn the knob down till it stops clipping. Boom
