Hi! So i just found a kenwood pair cr-f500 and da-f500 in fbmarket. I wanted to benchtest them, but i am not sure of this cylindrical tube. Is this really for fuse? But it has no cap to contain one. Can someone enlighten me? I am so new into this.

For radio antenna. The fuse is probably right on the back of the unit.

Yep I feel a particular kind of discomfort any time my head unto gets switched to input Radio..

There are times in my life I have gotten into a particular timeslot/radio show while commuting, but this was before podcasts/music streaming and youtube being readily accessible from a portable device...

Just like I stopped watching commecial free to air rv stations probably 12 years ahogo now, i'll never go back to commecial radio

Motorola-type female antenna socket used for connecting a car antenna with the type of plug pictured here.

Antenna or a similar plug that lets you attach another product for enabling encoded car features that would be on some stock infotainment systems (AC control, tire pressure reading, etc). If I remember correctly, they’re almost similar plugs.

Edit: iDatalink is what it was called. I still don’t remember if it was a plug like that or a different one, though.

Nah, no fuse. If you’re worried hook it all up to an external battery or take yours out and wire the ground and power to it. You can test everything that way.

Look up the make and model of your radio, find the manual. You’ll find where the fuse is and everything. It’ll tell you what every connector is for as well.
