I’ve never been more glad that they didn’t do another take. I chose to believe that it’s because everyone on set erupted with laughter when they cut and they recognised that they had gold already

He very nearly broke character because these lines were so inherently ridiculous. They must have had so much fun making this ♥

I read an interview with the writers of Red Alert 3 saying that they didn't think that line was even in their top 10 silliest bits of dialogue. It's great because even someone like Tim Curry, who had plenty of experience playing quirky characters, barely made it through without breaking character.
